"Really... thank you," said the genie, a soft but far more sincere smile appearing on his face than the ones I had seen before.

"Don't worry about it, that's what friends are for," Orion replied, patting the genie firmly on the shoulder.

"Hahaha, of course! Now tell me, how can I help you?" the genie asked, clearly excited by the thought that he might be free in a year, which made him view Orion in a very favorable light.

"Well... the thing is, this world must have some pretty dangerous people—at least for someone like me," Orion said, a bit embarrassed. "Since you're so powerful, I was wondering if you could help teach me how to defend myself, whether it's in hand-to-hand combat or with swords."

"Haha, don't worry about such a small thing," the genie replied, as a military-style trainer outfit suddenly appeared on his body, complete with a beret on his head. "In a year, I'll make you the most lethal and dangerous warrior around," he added, with a serious expression deepened by the scar across his eyes.

He then appeared next to Orion and lifted him up. "Hmm, while your weight is fine, these muscles are far from properly trained," he commented, examining Orion's muscle tone before measuring him.

"Given your weight and height, we could calculate your body mass index, and with your age and muscle density..." The genie rambled on, scribbling notes in a notebook while a small calculator appeared beside him, clicking away as he pressed the buttons, calculating.

Seeing this, Orion was curious on the outside, but inside, he couldn't help but smile. He had once read that although the genie possessed immense power on a cosmic level—capable of performing miracles and even altering reality—he had a major flaw, a significant weakness: his own personality. The genie was, in some ways, quite innocent, which often caused him trouble. But for someone with such strength, this trait was a good thing; it prevented him from becoming a tyrant who would control the universe.

Of course, that didn't mean Orion wouldn't keep his promise. He fully intended to grant the genie his freedom with his final wish. But if he could gain a few favors and advantages along the way, he would gladly accept them.

While Orion was lost in thought, the genie continued making calculations, trying to create the best training regimen and explaining everything to Orion as the hours flew by.

...

Meanwhile, Rapunzel lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. She was too excited, finally having met someone new and actually spoken to them. She spent a long time wondering if she had left a good first impression.

Rapunzel was in a dilemma, tormented by the uncertainty of whether Orion would really come the next day. It had been so long since she had a meaningful conversation with anyone, and the idea of someone new entering her life filled her with both excitement and anxiety.

"Pascal, do you think he'll really come tomorrow?" she asked nervously.

Pascal, resting beside her, didn't seem too concerned about the situation. His eyes half-closed in irritation at Rapunzel's question before he drifted back to sleep.

"You!" Rapunzel scolded, pointing at Pascal, but she soon sighed, resigning herself to the chameleon's indifference.

Staring out at the starry sky through the window of the tower, Rapunzel let her thoughts wander, wondering if Orion would truly show up the next day. The excitement of a possible new friendship was mixed with the fear of rejection or disappointment.

….

Ta-da! Ta-da! Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta!

Still half-asleep, Orion shot up, startled by the loud noise filling the room. As he opened his eyes, he saw the genie, dressed in full military uniform, standing there with a serious, determined look on his face.

"Up and at 'em, soldier! What are you doing standing around like a fool? It's time to train!" the genie ordered, his voice booming with authority as he took on the role of a drill sergeant. "We've got a lot of work to do!"

Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, Orion watched as the genie began marching in place with energetic hand movements.

"One, two… One, two!" the genie shouted, holding a megaphone in his hand.

Exhausted after barely three hours of sleep, Orion braced himself for training. He ran for a while before starting on push-ups.

"Is this all you've got?" the genie taunted.

Gritting his teeth, Orion pushed through the exercises. Thankfully, his body wasn't as weak as it had been in his previous life, allowing him to keep going.

After about two hours, the physical training finally ended. The genie congratulated him and changed into more appropriate clothes for stretching exercises, emphasizing the importance of flexibility alongside strength.

"Come on, you've got this!" several clones of the genie cheered from the sidelines, encouraging him.

Crack.

A small pop in his back signaled that Orion had reached his limit.

"You did great, soldier!" the genie praised, helping him up and leading him to a table covered in delicious, protein- and carb-rich food.

"Allow me to present the next course!" announced one of the genie's clones, wearing a chef's apron and twirling his mustache.

Time passed, and eventually, Orion made his way to the tower where Rapunzel was. When he saw her, he noticed the dark circles under her eyes, a clear sign that she, too, had trouble sleeping.

Rapunzel, excited to hear more stories from Orion, hadn't managed to get any rest. Seeing the tiredness in each other, they both smiled.

Orion climbed up to a branch on the nearest tree, which was close to Rapunzel's window. Meanwhile, the genie appeared as well, lounging in the air and eagerly awaiting the story Orion was about to tell.

"Ah! Um..." Rapunzel stammered, startled by the sudden appearance of the genie. Although she had met him the day before, she hadn't seen him up close. Her surprise only grew when she realized the genie could float in mid-air.
