章 44: Pursuit in library

Nigel pulled out the book Itri wanted, turning in the direction where Samantha was seated, though he could not see her from where she was. He wanted to get back to her as quickly as possible. But Itri's requests were stopping him to do so. The moment he pulled out the book she wanted, Itri would refuse to read it, after running her eyes through the first few pages, requesting him to pull out the next book that caught her attention.

Though he wanted to ignore her requests and return to his seat, to Samantha, his manners stopped him. Itri was Samantha's friend, and he did not want her to have a bad impression of him. Moreover, he did not have the heart to reject the girl's requests. Sighing lightly, he shook his head. 'What did I get myself into?'

"No, not this one either. Mr. Nigel, could you retrieve the next book please and place this one back?" Itri handed the book back to Nigel.
