章 24: A FLURRY OF EMOTIONS

After their dinner date, Nova returned home. She was still perplexed by what he had meant when he said that she was too obtuse to understand a hint. She couldn't recall his ever giving her a hint before, so why would he have given her a hint in the past, and for what purpose? She tried to coax words out of him, but he appeared to be making an excessive effort to keep quiet.

She started toward the staircase and to Andrew's room. His arrival in the meeting caught her off guard and she needed to know why he bought the shares.

She got to the front of his bedroom door and knocked but she got no answer.

"Hello?" She knocked again hoping that Andrew would answer but there was dead silence. She turned the knob and the door surprisingly opened. But Andrew wasn't in his room. Where could he have gone to?
