章 10: The Fallout

And chaos did unfold.

Thirty minutes later, when the female students who witnessed what happened relayed it to their classmates, friends, and siblings, a quarter and a half of the school still didn't know.

That was how huge the school was and how populated the school was.

However, it all changed in a matter of minutes. Over a thousand students from different nationalities, families and different personalities—there was something all of them had in common.

Being teenagers with phones.

In a second, 50 students, and in a minute, almost everyone had seen the blog post posted anonymously on the school's blog website.

Everyone knew anything posted on there was always scandalous but always true.

So imagine their reactions on seeing this:

{ Locker Room Showdown: Myra Allen's Good Girl Facade, Ripped Off!

As the saying goes, "Appearances can be deceiving," and that couldn't be truer for Myra Allen—the wolf in sheep's clothing. I mean, who would have thought that acting sweet and kind or being the legitimate daughter doesn't necessarily make you a good person? Shocker, right?

You're probably wondering how this blog came about, but keep reading, and you'll soon uncover the truth that left both the senior and junior classes absolutely shook.

Let's talk about Ephyra Allen, Myra's illegitimate sister. If you don't know her, ask around. I could have described what went down but reading isn't the same as watching, right? Trust me, everything will make sense after you watch the CCTV footage below.

*The CCTV footage of the Allen sisters' locker room fight.*

Did you catch that part where Ephyra said she'd break off her engagement with Alan? Yep, you heard right. She was ready to walk away from the guy. But noooo, that wasn't good enough for Myra. Because of her "inflated ego" and "disgusting pride," she couldn't handle receiving any favors from someone she loathed. So what does a normal person do? Forgive and forget, right? Wrong! Myra set up a plot that nearly cost her own sister's life. Honestly, Myra didn't just take sibling rivalry to a new level—she shot it into the stratosphere!

But here's where it gets even juicier. We all just found out that Myra, with her sugar-coated smiles and oh-so-sweet personality, wasn't the saint she pretended to be. I mean, this girl was straight-up vicious. What happened in the locker room was child's play compared to the real damage she inflicted on Ephyra before. How do we know?

Y'all heard what Ephyra said about the letter, right? Well, she wasn't lying. How do I know that? Swipe up!

*Two images appear—one of the original letter Ephyra sent to Alan (which Myra intercepted), and another showing Alan's supposed reply.*

Now, here's the bombshell: Alan and his friends will easily recognize that the second letter wasn't written by him. So, what does that mean?

Drumroll, please! Myra—the real snake—intercepted Ephyra's letter, forged a reply in Alan's name, and even hired thugs to attack her sister. Yes, you read that right. This all led to Ephyra's near-fatal accident, all because Myra's jealousy, possessiveness, and insane cruelty were off the charts.

And let's be real, Myra must've been a little too confident in her own lies because guess what? In her locker room showdown, she literally exposed herself. After claiming her arm was broken, she lifted it high enough to try and strike Ephyra again. Seriously, Myra, at least keep track of your own lies!

Honestly, what type of snake have we been breeding in this school?! I think it's time for a little pest control, don't you?

Stay tuned, the drama is far from over!}

~~~
Chaos erupted within minutes of the blog post hitting the school's website. Whispers turned to gasps, gasps to shouts, and soon, the entire school was buzzing with the scandal of the year. Myra Allen, one of the school's sweet and beloved darling, had been unmasked, and everyone—literally everyone—was talking about it.
Groups of students huddled together, phones in hand, their eyes glued to the footage of the locker room showdown.
"No way, I always thought Myra was a bit... fake, but this?" One girl exclaimed, shaking her head in disbelief as she replayed the video for the fifth time.
"Honestly, what type of snake have we been breeding in our school?!" another boy muttered, echoing the very words of the blog post, as he scrolled through the comments already flooding in under the video. Everyone had something to say, and no one was holding back.
"Myra's the real-life villain! The way she acted sweet all these years... wow, just wow."
"Did you see how she was still trying to hit Ephyra even with her 'broken' arm? Guess her acting skills need work!"
"Inflated ego, disgusting pride... sounds like the new Myra Allen alright."
Laughter and mockery filled the halls, and as word spread, more and more students crowded around in groups, sharing their thoughts on the post. In every corner of the school, Myra's name was being dragged through the mud.
In an empty part of the school grounds, Malia couldn't contain their glee. Malia was practically bouncing on her heels as she scrolled through the comments, her wicked grin growing wider by the second.
"I can't believe how fast this spread!" she exclaimed, showing Orla her phone screen. "Look at these comments! Myra's social life is officially over."
Orla smirked but kept her usual calm demeanor. "Well, your writing was definitely convincing."
"Guess you were right after all," Orla said, her tone light but edged with satisfaction. "It was fun."
Malia laughed, flashing her sister a victorious grin. "Told you so."
Suddenly, she paused as her expression changed. "Hey, don't you think we should check up on Ephyra? I mean, we did such a good deed, others might not know but the person we did it for should know, right?"
Orla who knew what her sister really wanted, sighed loudly, "Do whatever you want."
In the school library, only a handful of students were there, and Alan Latham, one of the stars of the blog post was among them, studying as usual. With his brown hair styled in a messy fringe and his tall body covered in his straight and neat white shirt, tie, and pants, he looked like the typical cool and handsome high school guy who all the girls love.
Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed in the large and quiet space. Soon, a figure stood by Alan's side.
"Hey, I have been looking for you all over the damn school, man!"
Alan's brow furrowed, "Why what happened?"
"I knew it," the guy mumbled and turned to Alan, "Open your phone and check."
"What? What happen–"
"Forget it, here."
The guy thrust his phone into Alan's hand, the screen already displaying the now-viral blog post. Alan blinked as his eyes scanned the bold title—Locker Room Showdown: Myra Allen's Good Girl Facade, Ripped Off!. He hesitated for a moment before his thumb began to scroll.
His grip tightened around the phone as he read. He replayed the CCTV footage again, frozen on the spot.
"What…?" Alan whispered, almost to himself. The footage of Myra lifting her "injured" arm to attack again made his stomach twist. He was so deep in thought that he barely noticed when his friend took the phone back.
"I can't believe Myra would do shit like this, man," the guy continued. "But this blog just says otherwise and a CCTV can't lie right?"
Alan clenched his fists and stood up. "I need to find Ephyra."
His friend raised an eyebrow. "Now?"
But there was no response as he was gone.
---
After sleeping for a while, Eira felt that she'd rested enough so she left the healthcare building and walked back to the classroom.
[How's it going?] Ephyra asked in her mind as she neared the senior and junior year building.
[The Dellinger siblings posted the footage. It's already going viral.] came the response from the AI
Ephyra's lips curved into a small smile. Perfect. The plan had worked, but there was still more because something like this wouldn't be enough to crush Myra completely. Rather, she will become more vicious than she was before and show her true colors which was exactly what Eira wanted.
She'd dealt with a lot of people like that.
[Everything is going as planned, Master.]
[Good. Keep an eye on Myra's activities.]
[Understood.]
Eira turned her head slightly, eyes closing as she let out a satisfied sigh. Just as she made to turn a corner a hand held her back.
