With the impromptu team formed, Marcus brought up the option of completing the goblin cave dungeon which surprised the rest of the team as it was a dungeon that was surprisingly undiscovered. Most players flock to the skeletal graveyard dungeon some ways away from the village so hearing about one in the forest confirmed the speculation that most early players had.
After explaining a little about his quest and asking if they noticed monsters in the direction they were headed getting stronger, they thought of something before explaining that it was only three days ago that they noticed the levels of the beasts within the forest steadily increasing as they went around doing simple collection quests for various people in the village.
They also explained that the forest was separated into the outer and inner sections. The outer section has beasts ranging from levels 2 to 8, and the inner supposedly has beasts ranging from levels nine to fifteen, along with the graveyard dungeon. That was supposed to be the normal case but when adding the information Marcus shared they concluded that the inner area beasts had their levels increased by two over the last couple of days due to a weird white mist moving across the forest floor that spread to the limits of the inner zone.
Continuing onward, the group encountered a group of level twelve Crazed Apes but they were swiftly dealt with by Fenrir who was still feeling a little peeved about the wolf that ran away from their fight earlier so she vented a little on the poor apes that crossed her path.
Checking the time, Marcus saw he had fifty minutes left until the quest failed so he explained his time constraints associated with his quest that made Silverwind question the ridiculousness of it but he nodded in understanding as their group moved quicker towards the marker, taking another ten to finally arrive at the entrance of a decently sized cave with 5 green skinned monsters standing guard.
They had pointy noses and ugly faces, their hair, if applicable, was extremely dirty along with their cloth fabric covering their lower half. In their hands were short dagger-like weapons that looked unrepairable by any blacksmiths.
Seeing they were either lazing around or sleeping, Marcus devised a plan to get rid of them after reading their status page.

"Ok, here's the plan" Marcus whispered as everyone gathered around.
"We hit them with magic and see if we can kill any that way, then we rush the rest before they can retreat inside. Simple enough?"
"Pretty straightforward to me, let's do i-" Silverwind began to shout confidently before a hand covered his mouth, courtesy of an annoyed Fenrir.
"Do you always have to yell? This is a sneak attack and you're about to break our cover! Just nod and stay silent!" Fenrir whispered angrily before pinching Silverwind's cheek.
At the same time as this was occurring Hypatia, a beautiful woman with braided brown hair and green eyes observed them with intrigue as she nudged her shoulder against Serenity who was smiling at the antics of her friend. "Should we also act like that?" She asked while turning her head to her with a cheeky smile.
"No thank you, I'm not really the type for that, I like to observe more," responded Serenity with a low voice. Her voice carried a similarly soothing tone as she met Hypatia's eyes for a moment, the two breaking into a short giggle before walking a little away from everyone as they pointed their magic staffs at the goblins, the tips of their respective staffs raised over the foliage before them.
"We're starting," Hypatia warned as the two prepared fireballs to launch at the goblins. Interestingly enough, Hypatia's flames were beige while Serenity's was a normal red.
"I can never get used to how beautiful your flames are Hypa…" Serenity thought to herself as Hypatia nodded at Marcus who nodded back. Their fireballs launched from the tips of their staffs, leaving a searing wave of heat in the air as they quickly flew and impacted a couple of the goblins, the rest shouting in an unknown language as a bolt of arcane mana followed suit, electrocuting what remained in the dust cloud that had formed.
"Let's go," Marcus said as he rushed forward, Silverwind and Fenrir following behind as Gilgamesh remained watching from the side.
Reaching the dust cloud with his sword in hand, Marcus readied himself as a breeze blew the dust away revealing the aftermath. "Magic is strong…" he thought as he looked at the now charred remains of all 5 goblins, while simultaneously he received the experience for the kills.

Seeing his level jump to 7, Marcus was excited as a thought popped into his head as he quickly distributed his twenty new attribute points as well as the two he had apparently missed before with a slip in his train of thought. With points now added into vitality and strength respectively, his excitement was growing as he checked the time remaining on the quest.
"We only have thirty-five minutes now, we should hurry and clear this." he thought as he turned back towards the approaching mages and King of Heroes.
As they reached his location, he expressed his concerns for time as Silverwind assured him even the most basic beginner dungeon could be completed in twenty minutes, with them having nearly double that amount was bound to be an easy finish.
Agreeing verbally, Marcus turned towards the entrance of the cave and stepped inside as a panel appeared before him.

"Wha the f-" the stunned Marcus began to say as the shadows of the cave rushed past him and the group, blotting out the entrance of the cave, leaving the group suspended in total darkness, before receding moments later, leaving the confused group standing within a tunnel-like cave that had warm orange light coming from ahead.
Not feeling like taking in the sights, Fenrir and Silverwind quickly pulled at the holographic panel representing the dungeon information while Serenity and Hypatia looked behind them, only finding a solid wall of rock.
