XueYa stood by the entrance to the White Lotus Hall, enjoying the night breeze. 

LiangLin's sisters had appeared out of the left-field, scaring the living hell out of poor Wei KaiJun, while YaYun had almost split from the seams by sheer relief. 

Finally, there were people to keep QingYu company during the day while the emperor contemplated different ways to end his life in the confines of his study.

XueYa had ducked and saved his own ass just in time, leaving his lover to be interrogated by the sisters, while he stood outside, enjoying the cloudless night.

Although the siblings still didn't welcome XueYa into the family with open arms, he was glad the sisters had appeared in Qiu. It eased his mind knowing that LiangLin had his loved ones by his side to keep him company while XueYa was away.

He still hadn't broken the news to LiangLin, not when the sisters had been keeping the two of them apart until now.
