"We could try dating each other," Julian suggested. 

Izzy bit her lip and hesitated before saying anything back. "…is that really a good idea though? If things go south, one of us is going to have to move out. I don't want Roz getting caught in the middle either because she cares about both of us." 

She might be more sentimental than him most of the time butshe was being almost too practical  right now  . He had never seen a romantic relationship last in a positive way long term either but she was too important for him to lose. He would do absolutely anything to keep her happy and by his side. 

"Who says it would go south? We've lasted this long as roommates, haven't we? And much longer as best friends. We've seen each other almost every day for more than five years. If we can maintain any sort of relationship that long already, I don't think that would happen," Julian said firmly.
