Anastasia arrived home just before dusk, feeling both mentally and physically drained. Though she had stayed with Diana until Edward returned, she politely declined Diana's invitation to stay for dinner. Exhaustion had overtaken her, and all she wanted was to rest.

She had resigned on the very same day she fought with Daniel. Since then, her sole focus had been on her new role as acting chairman, a responsibility that weighed heavily on her shoulders.

"Have you eaten?" Marleen stood up the moment she saw Anastasia enter the living room.

Nodding lightly, Anastasia smiled, then collapsed onto the sofa with a heavy sigh. "Mom…"
