Grace woke up the next morning and kept staring at the ceiling. She had missed dinner just because she didn't want to go downstairs and see her so-called family.
She walked down the bed and pulled the curtains open; the building was high, like she was caged in a place where Raymond couldn't reach.
She freshened up and picked up her school bag and went downstairs; tomorrow she had no lectures so she could go to the park and continue her book.
Grace walked to the kitchen and was surprised to find Yoyo, who was busy making coffee. "You are still here?" she asked in disbelief. Did they not leave last night?
"Hmm," Yoyo muttered as she took another coffee cup.
"Coffee?" she asked, and Grace snorted.
"Poison yourself," she hissed and walked to the refrigerator and took out a bottle of water. On second thought, she refused to drink the water.
