His gaze frightened her as he scanned her body. "Where are you coming from?" he asked, and her lips trembled.

"I went to look for a job."

"With who?" He wanted her to be truthful with him. Grace didn't answer; she didn't want to lie again, and she also didn't want to call Seb's name. He had explained to her that he was meant to follow her in the shadows, so if Mr. Xu finds out that she spotted him, then he will kill her.
