***Timeline clarification:
I realized that the timeline of Supernatural is broken for several reasons, and I made a mistake. In the Supernatural universe, Jessica dies on November 2nd. So technically, the series starts on the evening of October 30th, when Dean comes to see Sam. They then have two days to solve the case of the Woman in White before Jessica dies on the night of November 2nd.
Additionally, there are time jumps, like when Dean spends a year in hell, etc. At some point, the timeline no longer aligns with reality. So, what I'm going to do is stop giving specific dates except for special cases. I'll simply mention the month or the time period.
This will make things much easier to manage.
Sorry for the confusion, and just to clarify, Max was an absolute fan of the series, so he knew these details. On the calendar, it was written October 27th, not September 10th.
Anyway, sorry again for the error.***

Day 3: September 12 - End of training
On the final day, Bobby put Max to the test in more real-life situations. They tracked a minor creature together to see how Max would react in a dangerous situation. To Bobby's great surprise, Max seemed to know exactly what to do, as if he had already lived through these scenarios.
Watching Max from a distance, Bobby murmured to himself, "If I hadn't secretly tested him with silver, holy water, and a few other tricks to see if he was a monster, I'd have thought otherwise. This kid's a monster of learning."
Max had managed to prove to Bobby that he could handle himself. He had absorbed everything he needed to know in just three days, with such mastery that even Bobby, a veteran hunter, was impressed. Max knew he was now ready to leave and find Dean, ready to face the supernatural world that awaited him.

Chapter 5: Becoming a Superhuman
Late at night:
I stand here, at dawn, on the day when everything is about to spiral out of control for real. This is the true beginning of my adventure. Today, the world of Supernatural comes to life in front of me.
I've decided not to say goodbye to Bobby. He would have surely tried to stop me, despite everything I've proven in the past few days. I can tell he's starting to see me as the son he lost. He wants to protect me, even after seeing my skills.
I sneak out of the house, carrying the few belongings I've gathered in my bag. My steps are light, quiet. I have a mission, and I need to stay focused. Outside, under the pale glow of the moon, a 1970 Ford Mustang awaits me. An old car I had salvaged from the junkyard and repaired during my breaks. It might be an old heap of metal, but to me, it's a beast ready to roar.
I get in, turn the key, and the engine growls. The deep sound echoes through the quiet night. With a determined smile, I press the gas pedal. The engine's rumble fills my ears as I drive off, excited at the prospect of finally meeting the iconic characters of Supernatural.
Meanwhile, Bobby, standing by his window, watches the car fade into the darkness. In his hand, a crumpled piece of paper—a note Max left for him:
"Hey Bobby,
Thanks for hosting me these past few days. Although brief, I'll never forget these moments. Sorry for leaving without a word, but I knew you'd try to stop me.
We'll meet again soon, I'm sure. Don't worry about me, I plan to survive and kick this apocalypse's ass, and the ass of whoever put me in this mess.
Take care of yourself, your favorite newbie, Max."
Bobby furrowed his brow, squeezing the note in his hand. "Damn kid..." he muttered under his breath. "After everything I did for you, you don't even say goodbye. Ungrateful brat, reminds me of that bastard Dean..."
But his expression shifted, his face growing more serious. Still standing by the window, he watched the silhouette of the Mustang disappear into the distance.
"The world rests on your shoulders, kid," he murmured, his voice low but filled with gravity. "That's a hell of a burden for a 19-year-old... but I believe in you. After everything you've shown these past few days, you'll make it."
A thin smile crept across his lips. "Good luck, Max. Come back alive, or I'll kick your ass in hell myself."
Back to Max's point of view:
I was driving, gripping the steering wheel tightly, thinking about my next steps. The countdown to Jessica's death had already started in my head. Two options lay before me: on one hand, I could meet Sam and Dean at the beginning of the episode and join them in hunting the Woman in White, as planned. On the other hand, I could prepare myself to save Jessica from her tragic fate.
The decision was easy. Of course, I couldn't just stand there, looking Sam in the eyes, knowing I had the chance to save the woman he loved and did nothing.
I had to act. So, I planned an entire trip before heading to Sam's university. My objective was clear: prevent her death at all costs. I needed to be prepared because I'd only have one chance to change everything.
Stanford University was about a 20-24 hour drive away. I planned a strategic stop before arriving: a visit to the zoo. My plan was simple but effective: copy as many animal abilities as possible.
"Time to become a real beast!" I said aloud, grinning as I pressed down on the accelerator. ... ...
The next day:
Yesterday, I made good progress on the road and spent the whole afternoon at the zoo, discreet but determined. Copying the abilities of all sorts of animals had been easier than expected. One advantage of America is that everything here is bigger, including the zoos. And in 2005, restrictions were looser, so there was a wide variety of animals, from common species to rare ones.
I now have a set of abilities that allowed me to push far beyond human limits.
Anyway, here are my new abilities that I copied from various tourist attractions:
I categorized what I needed to acquire, plus some very satisfying bonuses.

With all these new abilities, I've clearly surpassed my old human limits. I've gone beyond what it means to be human, even surpassing elite athletes. I've become what some might call 'superhuman.' But this power doesn't make me invincible, far from it. I'm still vulnerable to magic. If someone disintegrates me, I won't be able to regenerate. If my soul is stolen, I'd be defenseless... In short, I'm still far from untouchable.
However, with these new skills, I feel ready to start facing creatures. It's not perfect, but it's a solid beginning.
I still have quite a bit of road ahead before I reach Stanford University, especially after the detours I took to gather what I needed. Every step brings me closer to my goal. After a long day of driving, I now find myself with just a few hours left on the road.
Night has fallen:
I've got a few hours left before I reach Stanford University. Each step brings me closer to my objective. After a long day on the road, I arrive at a crossroads. And at this point, I think true Supernatural fans will know exactly what I'm about to do.
Summon a Crossroads Demon !!!!
END of Chapter 5
Hey team, I hope you're all doing well. As promised, I’m posting this chapter at 9:30 PM French time.
I know there are a lot of abilities, but Max needs them, and he’s still far from invincible. Let me know what you think!
The chapter is a bit shorter than usual, but if I hadn't ended it there, it would have been over 3,000 words. As it stands, it’s 2,102 words long.
