章 80: CHAPTER 80
It took a few days for John and Bill to calm down enough to let the other one out for their sights without having an anxiety attack thinking something bad was going to happen. But it was finally the Day of the Fundraiser Showcase event and everyone was running around to get everything ready.
Bill not being able to lift anything as he was not healed yet, was organizing the Music Lists and Donation Forms. While A lot of the Students were Practicing their Performances for the night. John and the rest of his crew were setting up the venue.
As they were Holding the event in the Sporting Arena all they really needed to do was clean up the place and build a stage area in the centre. Also John wanted a DJ Platform .
John talked to the Students in the Photography and film courses about getting a Few Cameras set up so the guests could see the performances easily on a big screen. He then talked to the Students in Electrical engineering and special effects courses to see the could figure out so light show concepts. To sync with some of the music.
Bill was not doing anything and was watching John moving back and forth organizing people, arranging different things that needed to be done. He did not notice The dean and the Head of the University had come out to check the progress and were watching him as well.
It was not until The head of the University said while watching John explain what he wanted "He could probably do all those things himself, but he is using the students" Bill then realized they were standing behind him replied
"Hello Sir, John's thought was to use the students from a few of the other courses to Showcase their talents as well because not everyone can perform but they are talented at other things"
Bill continued "Like Photography, Lighting design, and I do believe we have a couple of architecture and construction students helping with the stage and interior designers doing their thing over in the grand stands"
It was at that moment David and the Minions appeared making The Dean and the Head of the University a little worried they were there to cause trouble until they saw the unexpected. David was talking to John and he started giving them instructions and they all went off in different direction to do as they were told.
When Davis reappeared he had a crate of drinks in his hands he handed them everyone gave one the John and walked over and gave one to Bill "Here it is hot out here and the paintings are ready, the Boys will be here with them John said you could decide where to put them" Bill Nodded "Thanks for that" then David walked away.
The Dean surprised by the Change in David's behaviour "WOW I don't think I have seen him that polite and considerate before, especially his attitude with John considering their past" As he knew what had happened months ago.
Bill Looked up and said "He was going through a lot that he didn't tell anyone about and he was not handling it very well, But the situation has been rectified so he is good now, we won't have any more problems with him"
Soon the Minions came out carrying easels and Paintings. "Bill where do you want these? the Boss said it was your decision" Bill looked and John and smiled before turning to look at the painting "I think they would be good over near the entrance line them up so people can see them when the walk in" They all nodded and went off to set them up.
The Dean and Head of the University looked at each other with curious expression and mouthed 'Boss"
They then looked back at everyone working and they noticed something interesting. The respect that everyone was giving John was astounding.
When someone suddenly called out as they were walking over"BOSS" everyone looked in his direction as John walked over "What do you think of these" Showing John what they had done with Escrima Sticks John had Bought.
The Head of Year asked " What are those?" Bill just replied "Martial arts Escrima Sticks, John asked for them to altered slightly" Looking back at John he took one of the sticks and stepped away from everyone.
