"Benefactor, where have you been to for the past five years?" Reverend Shakya asked.

"This…" For a moment or so, Lin Fan truly did not know how to answer him. It was not as though he could say that he was f*cked by a chick for a full five years, could he?

"I've been cultivating in seclusion." Eventually, he could only think up of this better sounding excuse.

"I see, so that's the case. As this poor monk was saying, after not seeing you for just a few years, your strength has really gotten much stronger, benefactor! Now I know it's because you've been cultivating in seclusion." Reverend Shakya lamented out. No wonder he had heard no news of Benefactor Lin for the past few years.

At this moment, Lin Fan released Chicky from his Paradise.

"Cuckcuckoo!"

The moment Chicky came out, he raised his head and cried out loudly.

Okay! Welcome to your Lam’s Explanation Corner.

This is one hell of a difficult chapter to explain but I’ll do my best.

First, I believe I’ve mentioned this before, but let me remind you guys once more. In Buddhism, it’s believed that everyone can become Buddhas themselves. Hence, they refer to the masses as Buddhas individually. However, there is THE Buddha.

Llama Buddhas, World Buddhas, Buddha Lords. They are ALL Buddhas.

In fact, they should all refer to the Ancestral Buddha as ‘Buddha’ alone instead of ‘Ancestral Buddha’, but I have no choice but to name him as the ‘Ancestral Buddha’ because I can only imagine the confusion you guys will receive.

Now, you guys remember how I was talking about Shakyamuni and Rulai Buddha?

Shakyamuni is in fact THE Buddha while calling someone Rulai Buddha is a respectful term for the Buddha. It is famously used in Journey to the West. That is the reason for Lin Fan’s shock when he realised Reverend Shakya’s full name was Shakyamuni. But I’m sure we all know where that plot will probably lead to.
