Upon hearing that Ji Xuansi actually wanted to bring people from overseas to the internal affairs of Great Zhou to counterbalance the Six Gates and Su Xin among others, Ji Xuanyuan's first reaction was disbelief.

Given the circumstances in the overseas regions, what didn't they have that they would bother muddling into the troubled waters of the Central Plains? He reckoned that even if Ji Xuansi talked himself hoarse, it would still be very hard to invite overseas powerhouses.

Of course, it wouldn't be a problem if it were some small island masters from overseas, but the issue at hand for the current state of affairs at the Imperial Court was that in order to genuinely counterbalance the Six Gates and figures like Su Xin, at the very least, a powerhouse from the True Martial Realm would be needed, otherwise it was all futile.
