章 199: About Your Father

Devin woke up late at night, at around 10:47 PM. When his eyesight had adjusted, he saw the familiar white ceiling and when his eyes scanned around the room, a sigh escaped from his mouth. 

'I'm still here?'

He slowly sat up. He remembered that he came to Elysion to vent to his mother about giving him the curse.

His expression turned sour when he recalled how he cried to his mother, saying such embarrassing words to her when he hadn't shown that side to anyone. Devin suddenly felt ashamed. 

"Nngh..."

Devin groaned as he felt his head throbbing in pain. He held his temple and applied force on it as if it could help ease his headache.

The Soul Eater's eyes felt heavy as well and even though he slept, he felt that it wasn't enough to ease his headache and his dry eyes. 

The skin of his lips dried and his throat felt coarse and painful as well. It made him think if he sang in a karaoke for him to feel pain in his throat. 

"Oh!"
