Brittany closed the box. "Aunt Woods will cook the rice later. When she drips out the rice soup, bring me a bowl of soup."

Susan nodded. She liked Brittany very much. The two of them slept on the same bed every day. Brittany tucked her in at night and combed her hair during the day.

She was willing to listen to Brittany.

After a while, Susan went to the kitchen and saw Mrs. Woods pouring out the rice soup. Susan quickly carried it and ran away.

Mrs. Woods scolded from behind, "Wretched girl, I saved this rice soup for Dylan to drink. You're the only one who craves it!"

Fortunately, the bottom of the bowl was thick and did not burn the hand. Susan brought the rice soup into the house. She thought that Brittany wanted to drink it, but Brittany found an old plain handkerchief.

The handkerchief was a silk handkerchief.

Before her father went missing, the family's life was actually very good.
