章 5: Day 4: Party
AN: I wanted to post this chapter much earlier today, but due to technical difficulties it got erased and I had to rewrite it. T-T

-Day 4-
Right after I woke up today, I remembered that I had the relationship function and decided to see if Goburia was added to it to get a better grasp of the situation.

So she's suspicious of me? Interesting. I'll just have to be careful not to do anything too out of it. After I was done with that, we were all called to listen to an announcement.
"You've grown enough and it's time you go outside to get your own food. Only those who work will eat. Now go!" With a simple announcement, we were informed of how things work here and permitted to go hunt on our own accord.
This was what I was waiting for! Once the announcement was made, I went to find Goburia and the other two female goblins I convinced to follow me.
"Finally, we're going to see more of the world! I can't wait to see all the things I will eat..." Goburia was full of energy as she looked at the forest ahead of us.
"I understand your feelings and all, but you're leading. You have to decide how we'll approach the situation before we can move on, after all, we don't know what's out there." I pointed out.
The two other goblin girls just stood there blankly, apparently, they felt intimidated by Goburia, not that I blame them. She has a pretty intense aura to her.
"Relax! I have it all under control, I asked Gobuji about the monsters in this area, so I already have an idea. We'll first scout the area and see what we can find, but for now, we'll aim for killing horned rabbits. Once we are used to working as a team we can think of moving to something more challenging." She calmly explained.
With that decided, I smirk and decide to put my plan into action.
"I think we should split into two teams to increase our area of effectiveness and spare some time. What do you say?" I proposed, not really worried, since even if she refuses, I already have a plan b in mind.
"Hum... That's not too bad since this area shouldn't be too dangerous... Ok, you'll take one of the girls two, and I'll go with the other one." She replied with a smirk making me realize that she probably has plans of her own and considering how [Absoption] works, I don't think I'll see that goblin girl again.
I picked vessel candidate number 1 and left number 2 to Goburia. Before splitting up, we choose a meeting spot and are supposed to come back in at most 4 hours.
Me and number 1 left towards the Northeast and the other group went Northwest.
(Just to make sure, Complexia, you can heal the body if it gets damaged, right?) I ask.
[Only with your permission, and I would also need to consume the equivalent in muscle tissue and bone damage to heal.] She responded with a blank expression while twirling her fingers just like before.
(Ok, what are you not telling me?) I insist.
[Well, master could also transfer some of the Bispina to me, but that course of action is not advised as it would weaken master's regenerative capabilities.] She showed genuine discontent and worry as she looked at me with disapproval written all over and even more aggressive fingers twirling.
(How many of the Bispina can I transfer to your vessel?) I shamelessly questioned.
[....] She simply looked at me with slightly teary eyes and an adorable pouting face.
(Complexia?) I try one more time.
[....] She still refused to answer me and even snorted at me calling her while avoiding looking me in eyes.
(Complexia Von Rath! Answer me.) I added a bit of a stern tone to my voice in my thoughts.
[... You're awful master... And you can send approximately 26% or 7 trillion bispina at best. A normal goblin can't handle more than that.] Finally, Complexia answered me, but she was obviously not happy with the outcome. Though it was not long before she went back to her default blank expression.
Having that taken care of, I then focused on vessel number 1 and decided that I would let her die more naturally to a monster if possible, and if not, I'll just have to do it myself, considering the fact she seems to be a typical ordinary goblin, I shouldn't have trouble getting rid of her. Though I still have l to be careful, she could still have some sort of unique and powerful ability... Heck! For all, I know just about anyone in this world could be a super op reincarnated demon lord from a higher plane of existence. I'm not on a field trip, I'm in the fictional multiverse! Though I doubt anything outside the rules of this world will happen, but if canon is anything to go by, this world is full of bullshit and I can't let myself forget that.
While we were looking around we finally crossed paths with a horned rabbit, and just like it is usually in stories, it's just a rabbit with a horn, not that I expected anything else.
"Boss! I found one!" She exclaimed in excitement seemingly unaware that the rabbit probably heard her. I would scold her if I wasn't planning on getting rid of her.
"Yes, I can see it too. What you'll do now is very simple. You'll chase it until this tree and once its cornered, I'll make a sneak attack and kill it. You just have to stay still there waiting and trust me to do my part." I explained calmly and slowly to make sure she got it, it might sound rude but believe me, it's for the sake of everyone's sanity.
"Hum..." I could see the hesitation in her eyes and slowly got ahold of a rock with my hand just in case she has any funny ideas.
"Yes! Boss! I got it!!" Once again she was a bit too loud but it didn't matter, it was best to let her enjoy her last day alive.
Receiving confirmation I proceed to explain exactly how she's going to have to move and we lose some time with her questions.
"What if it goes right?"
"You either stop it or make it change its path so it goes for the tree."
"But what if it goes left?!"
"You do the same."
"What if it stops?"
"Scare it into running, you're much bigger than it, even if it doesn't look like it, it's scared."
"What if it jumps at me?"
"You can take it, don't worry about it." I lied calmly.
After a few dozen more questions she finally got to moving and approached the horned rabbit with what I believe she thinks is stealthy movement and the rabbit didn't seem too worried until she got close and it immediately jumped at her. Following my oh-so-wise advice, she just stood there and got impaled by the horned rabbit.
Taking the chance I moved at full speed and hit the rabbit with the rock I had caught early, bashing it multiple times until it stopped moving. Luckily for me, it still had its horn stuck in Number 1, so it didn't have much of a chance to defend itself.
"Complexia take over number 1 as your vessel." I order.
[Initiating Vessel acquisition procedure.... Initiating Bispina transference process, Quantity: approximately 26%...]
As the process was going, I began dismantling the horned rabbit to the best of my abilities which weren't the best in that regard.

I had finished dismantling the horned rabbit, and though it didn't turn out the best, it was still good enough, I got some meat, and most important the rabbit's horn, which I can use as a weapon.
[Small animal horn] I looked at it before storing it in my inventory together with the meat.

Multiple floating screens appeared before me just as I had stored the materials I got.
"Master!" Before I could even say anything, Complexia just pounced on me and held onto me in a hug, even though a bit surprised by her enthusiasm, I reciprocate.
Happily, it seems things are working well since the hole in her chest disappeared, proof that the Bispina are doing their job.
As we hugged I could feel her heavy breathing and even noticed that she was... Sniffing me? Oh yeah, her relationship tab did say something about her being a yandere type... But it also said she's loyal so it shouldn't cause too much trouble, right?
I'll focus on that later.
"While I understand the whole ability getting weaker bit, where did the overdrive mode come from?" I inquired while Complexia climbed onto me with both arms and legs. She's more affectionate than I thought, but I can't but find it cute... Especially the contrast of her blushing expressionless face.
"There weren't enough Bispina to grant master the third level of Ultimate regeneration, so to improve master's chances of survival and overall development, I keep the Bispina at a safe level of overdrive, but it would be pointless to keep doing so with the amount you have now." She calmly explained not letting go of me for a second. Are you a koala?! Is what I wanted to ask, but it was not worth it.
"Then how many Bispina, do I need to increase the level of my regeneration naturally?" I asked.
"Not that many more, you'd need a total of 30 trillion of them, so 10 trillion more or approximately a 34% increase." She responded.
With that answered I move my hand and give Complexia headpats for her word and for trying to optimize my regeneration as well as for being adorable, even as a goblin.
From there we began to go to the meeting spot I and Goburia choose earlier as the time limit was growing near.
It wasn't long before we arrived at the area and Complexia was now walking with her own two feet though she stayed close to me nonetheless.
As we got closer I noticed that Goburia was alone and there were no signs of Number 2, so I assume she got consumed by her.
"So, did you find anything interesting?" Goburia questioned.
"Not really, it's just like you said. The closer vicinity doesn't seem to have anything that could destroy us so long as we work well as a team. About on your end? I don't see the other girl, did something happen?" I reported before throwing in questions of my own.
"It was the same on our side. As for the girl, she got impaled by a horned rabbit before I could do anything, so I buried her." She replied nonchalantly. Though I didn't believe her for a second, she definitely ate her to test if she would get anything interesting, not that I can blame her, I would have done the same at some point.
This was also good cause it reduced the possibility of her just eating one of the important ones out of curiosity. Though I can't be sure, I'm inclined to believe that she will eventually try to eat me if I don't tame her fast enough... No, it will definitely happen if I don't make myself the central figure soon. Luckily, since I have the job system together with the ranking one, I should be able to keep up and even go higher... Unfortunately, that would be temporary since jobs have a level cap and this woman can just keep eating things and getting more broken abilities each time, I'll definitely have to get my head around a way to keep her under control, though if she is similar to the canon version, she shouldn't try to eat me since she already recognized me as a companion of sorts... Damnit! I'm overthinking again! Let's just focus on doing things for now and have that in mind for later.
"I see, what a pity. May she rest in peace." I pretended to care, though my prayer was real, I have no reason to hate those who have never worked against me, though I will gladly use them for my own purposes.
"Yeah... But we can't sit here crying, we got training to do... Actually, not just you Gobumo, but that girl as well. We don't want an incident like this repeating itself, so let's all train together to work as a proper party." She announced before leading the way back to the cave.
When we got there, our training for today began. It came as a slight surprise but it made sense that Complexia was an extremely fast learner to the point where Goburia got excited again and completely beat the crap out of her. I felt sorry but the pain we're facing today is necessary so that we can rule tomorrow, plus getting close to that woman when she's in her battle frenzy state sounds like a terrible idea.
Once our training was over, we went our separate ways. I and Complexia got to my typical spot to sleep together. A part of me wants to engage in sexual activities but her current appearance despite being capable of cuteness was by no means something I wanted to get down with, so I decided to wait out until we hit the hobgoblin rank.
Those were my thoughts as I dozed off into deep sleep and my 4th day in this world ended.
