章 72: 71 - Auction 3

[Spell Book: Frosty Mist]

(Contains the Magical knowledge of Frost Magic - Frosty Mist)

"This little book contains the Magical knowledge of the E tier spell Frosty Mist. This spell is perfect for Ice and Frost Mages, as it fills an area with a cold Frost mist that not only obstructs the view and brings down the temperature of those in it but it also has a slight affect of improving the strength of ice and Frost spells cast inside it." Rose said informing the audience of the spell's effects.

This caught the attention of the young mages in the audience as learning a new spell is always a positive, and even if you don't just increasing your magical knowledge is.

There were even a few from the older generation who became interested in this spell.

After all you never know if there's something missing in your knowledge or if it could lead to an instant of inspiration.

"The starting bid will begin at 10,000..." Rose said and almost immediately the bidding started.

"You need more spells don't you, then just get as many as you want." Violet suddenly said to Victor catching him off guard.

He turned away from the auction to look deeply at Violet.

"Sigh... Now you'll need spells inorder to pick your path and create your fighting style. So don't hesitate as even if you can't learn it it'll still improve your foundation. So get all the different types and as many as you can, after all that's the best way to find what your best at..." Violet ignored his stare as she looked down into her wine glass before taking another sip.

Every Mage needs to learn what spell reputar is best for them, as even if your let's say a fire Mage you can still have the potential to learn another type/element of magic.

Even if it'll never be as strong as your main element, you can still learn other elements to a certain degree.

Like learning Wind magic to increase the power and strength of your Fire Magic.

So it is recommended to new magic classes to try out as many types of magic as you can to create the best training plan for the future.

Of course some classes don't allow you to learn certain magic or any other magic.

As for the main reason you can learn other magic, well it all comes down to a combination of talent and comprehension.

Victor didn't say anything, instead he just wrote his own bid of 18,500 gold, increasing the amount by 500.

But even then it was only a drop into the bucket as the price didn't stop, 19, 20, 21,22 thousand, before finally stopping at the large amount of 26,700 Gold.

"26,700 gold... Is there anyone else who wishes to bid, remember this spell is the perfect support and cover spell..." Rose said seeing no one else bid.

While internally she complained that the price should be higher, but no matter how she complained she would never reveal her thoughts to this power audience.

".... Going once... Going twice...." She paused for a extra few seconds hoping for another bid, but it never came.

"Sold, congratulations to Room number 3 for another successful item brought!" Rose smiled excitedly up at the private room 3.

Victor didn't have any change in expression even if he'd just spent more money then he's ever seen, at first he was apprehensive especially because it wasn't his money but when Violet said spend as much as you want without any care.

Of course Victor couldn't worry when the person paying said to and didn't care.

Rose seeing that she'd gotten at least 6/10ths of the audience interested in the first half of the auction, she didn't hesitate as the staff followed her instructions for which item will be brought out next.

Creating a sense of randomness that was actually planned to keep the interest of the crowd.

All sorts of weapons, armour, staffs were sold, Victor watched on finding nothing that either they needed or suited them, so he started to enjoy his food.

Michael on the other hand had his attention drawn to the cool looking weapons and armour, hell he even saw a few staffs that made him want to be a mage.

The look and quality of the items continued to increase, as more and more of them were crafted to not only be powerful but look nice.

After all who didn't like to show off their wealth and power in front of others.

There were also quite a few spell books that Victor tried to win but out of the 12 so far, he had be only able to get 7.

One thing Victor did notice though was that so far no skill books had been sold. So he voice this to Violet.

"Well of course they're usually solded at the end of the first half, as for why spell books are being sold it's because multiple people can use it, after all it's no different from a normal book other than the fact it's infused with mana." Violet explained but she continued to impact common knowledge to him.

"To learn the knowledge and information held within a Spell book, Magic Book, Battle Art or even a Mana Art, you need to read them and understand the contents first. That's why even if Spell books are incredibly rare to get there's still a huge amount of them in the right place.

You'll see this after you start school, so don't worry too much alright." Violet patted the back of his head lightly and gave him a bright smile.

Time past rapidly with item after item being sold, Victor got a new full set of obsidian Steel armour and shield for Michael, a new set of mage robes and a staff all dark attribute.

Giving them not only a great set of equipment each but it also was the best equipment on the market that suited them.

As the first half of the auction got closer to finishing skill books started to appear.

Victor went on a huge spending spree buying the following Skill Books, Double Slash 25,100 gold, Stab 24,700 gold, Quick slash 32,400 gold and finally 2 class skills for around 40,000 gold each.

Victor was actually quite lucky to obtain this many from the auction especially with so many other people here.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm am pleased to announce the end of the first half of the auction, now we will start the true auction shall we?" Rose said happily before clapping her hands.

In an instant the atmosphere in the hall changed becoming heavy, the younger generation couldn't help but look around the hall.

This was the older generations time to fight in this competition of wealth, as now the children in the audience has to sit back and watch.

"Now let's start this off with something good shall we?" 'Clap' Rose clapped her hands as two female employees entered together carrying a pillow with a long glaive.

The staff emerald green like it was carved straight from green jade, the long sharp thin white jade blade reflected a sharp dangerous light.

[Jade Iron Glaive] (Silver Quality: Superior)

- Weapon Type: Glaive -

- Weight: Medium -

- Element: Earth/Wind -

- Mana Conductability: 34% -

- Passive: Razor Blade -

- Enchantment: Wind Cutter -

(Wind Cutter: When slashed with Mana is injected into the Glaive Wind blades are created, at the same time the sharpness of the blade is increased)

[Restrictions: Lvl 50+, Warrior/Tank]

The glaive caught Victor's attention as he knew from Violet that most of the people here were at least Tier 5, so level 200 plus.

And at that level platinum gear is usable, making platinum the best normal gear you can have.

So this Silver gear isn't useful to them, even if you don't have platinum gear, you can still use Gold which is better than Silver.

The actual reason the second half started with a Silver weapon is because the auction needs to be built up after all the main reason for this auction is the younger generation who just obtained their class.

So even though the second half of the auction is meant for the strong, it only has a few items for people of their strength.

So the items put up for auction in the second half only range from level 50 to 199, with a small number of items of level 200 and above.

There's also a bunch of unknown things not worthy for the high Tier auctions.

"Now the starting price is 100,000 Gold with a minimal increase of 500 gold." Rose said after letting the weapons info sink in.

"What's the market price of a normal Silver weapon?" Victor asked, he didn't have any sense for the market pricing.

"Well a Average quality Silver weapon without any enchantment usually has a market price of 175,000 to 200,000 Gold. The price goes up and down depending upon the quality of the weapon, good enchantments also heavy affect the price doubling or even tripling.

But if it's a terrible enchant then it'll lower the price as well." Violet explained, although it sounded complex it really wasn't.

"So then, what's the market price of that Glaive?" Michael asked while sneakily stealing one of Victor's chips.

"Well considering that it's a Superior quality weapon, that increases the price by about 50,000 to around 250,000 Gold. Wind Cutter is a great enchantment, so... The price should be.... 300 to 325 thousand." Violet tapped his lips with her left finger while speaking.
