Chapter 159: Don't Toy Me on a Whim (1)
~Third POV~
[Later that day, One Star District]
Groaning Ryuko soon woke up eyes widening and alarmed standing up in bed in a surprised tone looking around her surroundings, "Argh… Senketsu! Mash – huh? Owww… wait where am I right now…"
Taking the moment to regain her composure she noticed she was inside Mash's apartment room before seeing Senketsu cleaned hanging from the side. She smiled with a thankful grin plastered on her grin realizing what happened, "Oh… that idiot saved my sorry ass huh? Damn it! We lost!"
Slamming her fist onto the bed she only stared down as Seneketsu spoke in a calm tone reassuring Ryuko's concern, "Yeah… but in the end he saved us both. I still can't believe how strong that guy is."
She blinked before seeing images of his cross changing into a gun and hammer before agreeing nodding her head in a curious tone, "Yeah… his cross changing into a gun then to a hammer. It's weird but so are us. I owe – no we owe him big time huh Senketsu?"
He only wiggled his eyes up and nodded agreeing as he spoke gazing at the outside in a calm tone rationalizing what occurred, "True. But this is also a reminder for us to get our A-Game in the future. We are weak Ryuko that's a fact."
She growled lightly but slowly formed a grin on her face talking to Senketsu in a grateful tone gazing at her glove, "Grr… say, Senketsu… We need to get stronger together. I know we can, as long as we're together."
Senketsu soon misunderstood what Ryuko meant making a confused expression as he replied in a stoic tone, "Together… I guess you have no choice since you have no other clothes."
Blinking a bit surprised she smiled correcting him making Senketsu touched by her kind words from her genuine kind tone, "That's not why… We'll stick together because we're friends. Just don't keep track of my BMI anymore, okay?"
Senketsu feeling happy being called friend agreed and disagreed with Ryuko's request in a sheepish tone, "Yeah… I suppose so. But I can't make that promise. More importantly, you should lose about an inch off your waist… I'm starting to detect a little flab."
Mash soon entered through the door getting their attention with a grin on his face leaning on the doorway and seeing their recovery in a chipper tone, "Glad to see you both are fine. Seems like you both got a harsh beating against that mohawk menace rapist. He didn't do anything inappropriate right…?"
Asking in a concerned tone Ryuko blushed at the implication but replied with a genuine thankful tone for saving them, "Wha… NO! Hell, no he didn't do anything or god forbid almost till you showed up. But… thanks for saving us in a pinch."
He smiled seeing his friend safe as he sighed a breath of relief being the bearer of good news to both, "Phew… thank goodness then. But for once I have some good news to share other than that rapist won't be bothering you again, we finally have the green light to form the Fight Club."
Blinking at this she smiled at the idea as they were given a path to gain strength in a determined tone clenching her fist as she said, "Good. Then it's time we practice what we agreed gaining strength of the Life Fibers for Senketsu to grow. When do we start?"
Holding his hands in the air in mock surrender he soon explained in a calm tone heading towards the bed standing on the side, "Whoa! Hold up their tiger before you start challenging or bullying the club members of their Life Fibers take the time to relax. I mean you barely got out of the previous fight take the day off to relax. I'll be back with something warm for you to eat."
Unaware of Ryuko as he turned, he gazed at his bracelet receiving a call from an unlikely person his frown for a second present before shrugging it off as he thought, 'It's Eyebrows… the heck she wants?'
Leaving her side Ryuko only smiled contently feeling this taken care of and warming care as she looked dazed rubbing her head as she muttered happily, "He called my name again… it… it feels nice he calls me my name…"
Ryuko for the first time in her life felt her heart beat a bit faster. Despite knowing the person who helped her was at first a womanizer or bastard the feelings within her heart didn't go away… they intensified on her own of the idea of being with him.
Her eyes widened as she grabbed a nearby pillow slamming her face into it screaming in a conflicted tone, "Wait nononono!! I can't be falling for him a bastard and womanizer but…. He is the only one that hasn't been bothered with me or… what the hell is wrong with me right now…"
Ryuko despite her faults and struggles being a lone wolf throughout her life never having anyone being her guide is now in a dilemma she never saw herself in.
Having no experience in love she couldn't help but slowly fall for her friend or possibly something more curling up in embarrassment and conflicted emotions in her heart muttering to herself, "Damn it… why does he saving me make it easier to fall for that jerk… damn it."

[Nighttime, Honnouji Tower]
Satsuki Kiryuin, clad in only a bathrobe, was enjoying the tea prepared by her trusted butler Soroi. In front of her laid Junketsu, restrained and trying to break out of its confinements ferociously as it tried.
She had felt that ferocity and bloodlust of her own Kamui was very draining and decided to just take a seat and bask in the moonlight complimenting the tea in a kind tone, "Your tea warms me through and through, Soroi."
Soroi bowed thanking Lady Satsuki for the compliment in a happy tone, "Thank you, Milady."
Holding her teacup steadily and tasting the tea with ease she soon spoke out to someone hiding their presence in a stern tone, "Do you think you have snuck up behind me, Sanageyama."
The young man she had just addressed was standing behind his chair with a confident smirk and replied in an easy-going tone, "Not at all. If I had the slightest intent of attacking you, you could easily kill me with just that teacup."
Soon Sanageyama asked to fight Ryuko Matoi in an eager tone finding a powerful foe to challenge himself. Satsuki soon spoke with her eyes closed in a calm tone, "Do you wish to challenge Matoi only?"
Sanageyama was confused till suddenly a familiar voice echoed across the room startling the members as he made his presence known, "She means if you want wanna challenge me mongrel."
All the people in the room widened their eyes. Even Satsuki as she hadn't sensed the owner of the voice. But she immediately regained her composure in a calm tone, "How nice of you to join us, Mash."
Mash emerged to them from literally out of nowhere and walked to the point he was beside Soroi with an eye roll as Sanageyama spoke in an arrogant tone, "In my book, you haven't done anything to prove you are a strong person."
He raised an eyebrow as Soroi poured him a cup of tea for him took the teacup and shrugged with his eyes closed responding to his words in a proud tone, "And why would I do that? I proved to be stronger than you lady without your uniforms or Kamui's. That alone speaks how outclass you are fool."
Taking a sip from the tea he looked pleased with the tea with Satsuki returning to the conversation taking his side in a neutral tone, "Insults aside, he does have a point, Sanageyama. Anyway, you do know the price for failure, I assume?"
*Swooosh*
*Crack*
Satsuki suddenly smashed her teacup and went to stab Sanageyama with the broken handle, only for him to block it as she complimented his skill, "Nicely blocked. As you wish. See what you can do."
Sanageyama smiled at this turning his attention to Mash casually enjoying the sip of tea from Soroi's creation as he spoke confidently, "I'll challenge you after Matoi."
He promptly left leaving Satsuki, Soroi, and Mash in silence. Mash decided to be the one to break the silence in an obvious tone, "Welp… he tempted fate. That poor soul doesn't realize he raised her flag as Fate's a bitch."
No words were needed as they both nodded Satsuki gave Soroi an order as she addressed Mash in the room with an analyzing gaze and spoke stoically, "Soroi make a fresh pot for me. Would you kindly leave us, I must discuss something with this one here."
The old butler nods leaving the room leaving the lady of war and the mysterious uncertainty of that's Mash Bastion. The former stood up from her seat and walked towards the latter.
She stopped just a few feet from him, and they stood there in one of their long-awaited stare-downs as he spoke breaking the silence in a calm tone, "You look… tired? Tch. Overexerting wearing that damn wedding dress huh?"
Satsuki merely laughed lightly at his words being able to see past her remarking, "And you look as energetic as ever."
He simply shrugged responding to her remark in a neutral tone locking his gaze with hers as he spoke, "Touche. And as much as I would like to gaze at you wearing a bathrobe in the moonlight making you gorgeous Eyebrows you aren't the one to call for no reason."
Returning to the topic Satsuki let a small smile show on her face seeing how direct Mash was with her in a stoic tone, "Always the lady's man, aren't you? But I suppose I should thank you for yesterday's actions. If it wasn't for you sending that annoyance disturbing my academies we wouldn't know where their locations are."
He understood what Satsuki meant about throwing the Mohawk man as he shrugged but with a frown on his face annoyed, "Tch. The rapist lives huh? Good for him and being caught is no worry off my back of him coming back."
Satsuki could only find the reaction to his amusing misunderstanding of a rebel against her empire only to be annoyed he lived. It's not as if Mash cared about him or their organization, he just found them completely useless.
It also didn't help they allowed him to attack Ryuko. That certainly didn't earn them brownie points in his favor promising to protect Ryuko by having her back.
A comfortable silence was present in the room again. Until Satsuki having her eyes locked on his golden eyes broke it in an honest tone, "Mash Bastion, I find you both fascinating and confusing being unknown to my goals."
This made him smile lightly with a raised eyebrow as Satsuki continued explaining her tone changing into a serious tone, "Since the moment of your arrival, you have been nothing short of an enigma. You have no previous records, nor do you barely exist. I took it upon myself to learn everything there was about you. But every lead I find about you has always been a dead end. And here you are, the single greatest mystery I have yet to solve. You are an unknown factor, a loose cannon, and you have the strength that I suspect that could rival a Kamui… or more."
She stepped closer to Mash to the point it would take her a few steps for their lips to touch as she spoke in a serious tone, "Therefore, I have decided to receive the answers I want from the source. Mash Bastion, who are you?"
Mash stayed quiet, his hair shadowing his eyes, thinking of a response. He contemplated a bit before finally speaking in an honest tone, "Sigh… wouldn't believe if I told ya the truth. But if you simply want to know my stance or origin then – "
*Ring*
However, before he could explain or reveal himself a phone rang interrupting the moment as Soroi spoke snapping Satsuki of her questions in a worried tone, "Beg pardon, M'lady. Your mother is on the phone."
The mood was ruined Satsuki snapped her head back to Mash as he was seen near the exit he spoke in a tired tone, "We'll talk later Eyebrows. Seems like you have other things to do that need your attention. Goodnight."
She frowned as the chance to gather more information ended abruptly. She sighed as she answered the phone in a stoic tone, "This is Satsuki."
From the other end was her mother in a stoic tone said, "What's this I hear about you putting on your wedding dress?"
