Slowly, Raine opened her eyes, she stared at Torak guiltily as she spoke timidly. "How do you know that I wasn't asleep?"
Torak flicked her head lightly. "You are too loud." He refered to Raine's internal argumentation.
"Did you hear all of that?" Raine's eyes widened in disbelief, she thought she was successful in masking her thoughts.
"No, I didn't hear a single word." Torak said matter of factly. "You masked it quite well, but there was this buzzing sound from it, like a broken radio."
Torak couldn't hear a single word for real, but the buzzing sound that he heard from her was a giveaway that Raine was actually not asleep.
She was still learning how to mask her thoughts after all, so it was understandable if she hadn't perfected it yet.
"What is bothering you my love?" Torak laid next to her. His arm served as Raine's pillow while his other arm smoothened the crease between her eyebrows.
