章 100: Chapter 100: Fears and Regrets

Getting the former pack members of Crying Wolf organized and moved to their new packs took a lot of time. Over the next few days after the Alphas met with the full group in the meeting center, most of their attention was focused on making sure that every threat was taken care of and that everyone was moved comfortably.

It didn’t leave much time for anything else for any of the Alphas or their leadership team, but River wasn’t sure how upset about that he should be. The next thing that had to happen was the marriage ceremony, and as much as he wanted to marry Ellie, he was nervous.

He knew he wanted to marry Ellie; there was no question in his mind now that he wanted to be with her. It seemed clear that they were meant to be together, too. He’d tried to leave her and quickly found out it was not only an awful idea but nearly impossible. So the nerves he felt had nothing to do with the commitment he was about to make.
