章 25: The Next Stage
Three days of silence would pass.
Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong had been dealt serious internal injuries thanks to the Fifth Elder, though he did help with reattaching Pyo Yong's arm. It didn't make up for the internal injuries he gained from fighting someone much stronger than him.
From fighting the Fifth Elder, to meticulously stitching Pyo Yong's arm back on, all the way to killing one of the Namgung bastards I was bound to exterminate. My muscles were fatigued from having over-exerted themselves doing those tasks, not to mention the Lung sub-stage of the Organ Tempering stage draining my strength so much that I passed out.
Those three days of silence were entirely needed to recuperate our strength and begin planning our next steps in training. Though there were a few perks the three of us had acquired from the events of that day.
First is the spiritual core of an Imoogi, I could either use it to accelerate my process of Organ Tempering or save it for when I need to establish a dantian, since that time was soon nearing. Second was the Fifth Elder, as I could use him as a major trump card when exterminating the Namgung clan.
But all things aside, it was time to continue with our training.
"Pyo Kang, Pyo Yong, are your injuries healed?"
"Yes, we're ready to begin when you are, Ryu Il." Both twins replied in unison.
"Good, then let us begin."
I sat down on the ground in the lotus position and waited for Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong's hands to be placed on my back. The three of us had chosen the latter route, and to save the spiritual core's energy for when I needed to form my dantian.
And since it would take a while to go through the entire Organ Tempering stage by myself, the twins agreed to help me by providing me with as much pure qi as they could give. I could only assume it was to repay the favor of making them stronger than they could have ever been by training only with themselves.
As I felt Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong's internal energy seep into my body through my back, I began to guide the energy lent to me with the Cloud Origin Force. The next step I would have to take is the Stomach and Intestines Tempering.
These three organs were grouped together into one sub-stage by my master, Ryom Un-Ju. As the three organs were connected with each other, it would make the Organ Tempering stage go by much faster than what other Mount Song Sect students could achieve. Though, the pain did increase exponentially depending on how long it took to complete the process.
It was a risk well worth taking however, as an hour later, Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong took their arms off my back and my body began to convulse. Every inch of my skin began to shine and crack apart as if it was the shell of a hard-boiled egg being peeled off.
The one side effect of clearing the Organ Tempering stage was that the skin would completely reform itself too. Many within the Mount Song Sect believe it to happen because the entire body has been cleansed of all impurities, allowing for the body to transcend it's current limits and grow beyond that of normal human beings.
Who would have guessed that they were right?
When I opened my eyes after the process was complete, I was dumbfounded by my new strength. Even in my past life I became a great deal stronger by completing the Organ Tempering stage, but this new body of mine was easily a hundred times stronger than I was back then.
Each strand of muscle in my body was defined perfectly, yet they were constantly relaxed to keep my movements fluid. But now that the Organ Tempering stage was over, it was time for the next major stage to be entered. Dantian Establishment.
Still sitting on the ground, I leaned my head back and looked at Pyo Kang, "Pyo Kang, go get the spiritual core."
"Alright." He replied before running off to grab the core from where we had hidden it.
Though, sending him to get the core wasn't the only reason I wanted him to go away.
"Pyo Yong, how is your left arm?" I asked, still leaning my head back to look at him.
"I've regained the ability to move it, though it will be a few days before it'll be like it was before."
"Well then, I guess I'll tell you two the news once Pyo Kang gets back." I said, returning my head to it's original position.
I had decided in the three days we spent healing our injuries that I would teach Pyo Kang and Pyo Yong the Golden Dragon Arts of the Mount Song Sect. But in order to do that, I would have to ask them to become my disciples.
The twins were extremely reluctant to be my disciples when we first met, hopefully the time we spent together had convinced them that being my disciple wasn't so bad.
A few minutes later, Pyo Kang returned with the glowing core of the Imoogi in his arms. With each day that passed, the glowing light of the spiritual core faded as the qi within it leaked back into the outside world.
But soon this glowing core would permanently turn dark.
I took the core from Pyo Kang's hands and placed It on my lap, holding it in place with my legs as I placed both of my hands on the core. The core itself was bigger than my head, and the qi emanating from it was of the purest grade imaginable.
Soon the energy of the core began to travel up my arms and into my stomach, filling all of my meridians and veins with qi during the process. However, as the qi flowing within me began to run rampant, I began to use the Clouds Origin Force to condense all the energy into my stomach.
And as the qi began forming my dantian, only one thing coursed through my mind.
Mountains pure of needless might.
Devoid of petty tussle.
Purest skies regardless of night.
Giving hope to those who struggle.
True arts seeking might not for tussle.
Purifying night for those who struggle.
