章 7: Chapter Seven: The Knights of The Magic Table

Toru led the men into a spacious room full of books and paintings, with a large, round marble table in the middle of everything.

"There now Avery, take a seat at the fourth chair beside Halu. That is designated for you", Said Toru encouragingly.

While the newest member took his seat, Toru walked over to the bookshelf and shifting through it, pulled out an old, weathered book with yellow, rough pages.

Dropping the large volume on the middle of the round table, he placed his hands on the top of the cover saying: "Young Prince, this volume that you see before you, is an ancient book written from the legends from my hometown. You see, I too, am from Cravon, I left when I was but a young man, in order to join the errantry of a Knight. Now, without further ado, I will present to you, an old ancient, and true legend written by my very own forefathers."

Clearing his throat, he began: "From the shores of Cravon, a forever richly accumulative country, there will be born without any siblings, a young child, destined to be king one day. He must have the heart and spirit of a bold warrior, and the dignity of a man of valor. This young man indeed as you may expect, will be knighted at a youthful age. This chosen knight, is the only man of might who is destined to wield the Scroll of Internal Light; A series of pages, woven tightly together containing verses fit for the sagacity of the chosen hero. When he is near, the words within the scroll will appear as light to his eyes of internal sight." This my friends, is the legend that was passed to me from my fathers", Ended Toru closing the book.

"So you think this legend is real?" Avery asked, puzzled.

"I don't think it's real, no. I know it's real. It has been my dream ever since I was but a boy, to find that scroll. Now that you are here, I am certain I will find it."

"That boy from the legend can't be me, it must be you, sir."

"No Avery, my speculation is that, it is you. If I were the child as the one depicted in this book, then I would have long ago discovered the scroll."

"But how will we know where to look?"

"The answer lies within the first phrase of the line: "From the shores of Cravon."

"My good sir, there are many areas in Cravon, where waters and sand are."

"You have said correctly, young boy, but what you did not perceive, is that the area where the scrolls are hidden, must be near the castle where you were born."

"But we cannot be certain of it. The expanse is vast also. It could take years before we actually find them."

"Which is why we must get to work as soon as possible. Azackton is getting stronger, I sense that within his dark tower, in his very chambers, he is planning something. Something we may not be able to handle next time.

Those scrolls are the source to defeat him. When the sun rises tomorrow morning, we will set off near your father's castle grounds."
