章 68: An agreement?

Yes…again.

This was another one of the other times that she would be waking up in the emperor's embrace. That's right…Rose was getting used to the emperor unknowingly visiting her bed. 

Apparently, for the past few weeks, the emperor had been coming to the empress's bed chambers just to sleep with her, and nothing else. Though most times, he would have left before she opened her eyes, and she would have learned of his arrival from Leanna, Vance, or the imperial princess.

The whispers from the working maids would have also informed her of his arrival…though most were a bit exaggerated.

'This can't continue.' Rose lowered her gaze, releasing a subtle sigh.

''You were in heat, empress. If it hadn't been for my presence, you would have been experiencing severe pain during those times'' The emperor's reply prolonged Rose's silence and deepened her thoughts about the whole situation.
