Yielya lifted her head and looked skywards. Tapping her staff with an intrigued look she asked, "So you intend to just watch? That's kind of creepy you know?"
An Angel with four wings appeared behind her, "My apologies, I had intended to gauge how dangerous you might be."
"Oh an Angel! You guys rarely visit this realm right? What brings you here?"
"We have come for that Staff you wield."
"The Seventh Heaven hm?"
"Yes, we ask you hand it over."
"What if I don't want to?"
"We will make it worth your time."
"How so?"
"We have prepared a replacement Staff for you, I assure that you will find it satisfactory."
They offered a Staff, Yielya glanced at its stats and her lips curled upward, "That's quite a staff."
"Do you accept the trade?"
"No."
The Angel showed clear surprise, "What?"
"The Seventh Heaven, naturally I would do my research. A separate piece of the Holy Realm, one that you Angels hold very dear. This staff within my hands is no doubt a key piece to its restoration. Meaning its worth quite a bit to you. I'm afraid that Staff isn't a fair trade."
It was unexpected, according to the Angel's research the Semi-Immortals would be happy to do anything for an item of high quality. They prepared one of the best Staffs within their collection for a trade. It should've been an easy trade!
Yielya casually spun the staff within her hands, "So, I assume since this is something you desire very much you are willing to negotiate?"
"We are willing to discuss."
"Then I wish to speak with a higher ranked Angel. Preferably one in charge."
"I cannot-"
"Then this Staff will remain in my hands. If I remember right Angels cannot attack unprovoked, and thievery goes against your code. Forgive me for not being gracious, but I can't be taking a loss. Obtaining this was a stroke of luck after a lot of pain."
"One moment. . ."
Yielya had a satisfied smile. This was a prime opportunity to visit the Holy Realm and increase her healing capabilities. Although Prayer was a special type of energy channeled through the Gods, the Holy Realm was the closest place to the Gods. Entering the realm should be worthwhile.
The Angel then raised a hand, "I have been granted permission to bring you to the Holy Realm. There you can speak with The Almighty One."
"Am I to hold your hand?"
"It will make the trip seamless."
"Alright."
Grabbing the Angel's hand Yielya felt the air swish around her. With a single blink she reflectively squinted. The bright light was like a flashbang, it almost blinded her. Rubbing her eyes she complained, "It's bright! You live like this all the time?"
"The Holy Realm must remain bright."
A commanding voice entered her ears, "I can feel it, the Seventh Heaven piece within your hands."
Yielya felt a large amount of strength emanating from the newcomer. As if their entire being commanded respect and authority. To have such a feeling by simple being there, they were no doubt an apex individual! Upon getting a better look she found them to be an Angel with six wings!
Not being suppressed by the feeling Yielya responded, "That you do."
"I am known as The Almighty One, I currently am the one in charge of the Holy Realm. I do believe I have the qualifications to exchange for that Staff?"
"Of course! But we are in no rush. This is my first time visiting the Holy Realm, you wouldn't mind if I take a moment to look around would you?"
The Almighty One nodded, "Very well, if you wish to discuss about the Staff further, you will find me at the Radiant Dome."
"Thank you! I shall ask for you shortly."
Yielya then left, eager to explore the Realm. As she left one of the Angels asked The Almighty One, "Are you going to have her leave just like that?"
"For centuries we failed to repair the Seventh Heaven. Now the final piece is within my realm. I have waited for a long time for this moment, I do not mind waiting a little longer. I can tell, that one has no qualms against handing over the Staff. I am simply unaware of her true goal. Keep an eye on her, I shall return to my quarters."
"Yes!"
The Almighty One vanished without a trace. Returning to the room of the three golden pillars a faint smile spread across her lips, "It will finally return. The Seventh Heaven will come back, and the glory of the Holy Realm shall spread once again!"
~ ~ ~
Travis took a breath, he had long since claimed the item from the White Vault. Now, as he waited for the Seventh Heaven to be repaired, he was training in his usage of Holy Energy. It essentially was a unique form of Mana capable of only being used in certain ways. His trainer was strict, but Travis was beginning to rapidly gain a feel of Holy Energy. It held a strange similarity with the Abyssal Energy.
He was granted a small building on the outskirts of the city to live within until he fulfilled the agreement. On his path back to rest a somewhat familiar face entered his vision, "So it was you!"
Travis was immediately on edge, the individual laughed, "We're in the Holy Realm, let's not start a fight okay?"
"Why are you here?"
"Oh I think you know why!"
It was the Priest of Six Lights! He hadn't expected their presence to be in the Holy Realm! The Angels should've completed a worthwhile trade and moved directly to repairing the Seventh Heaven! Yet he hadn't received any news of that!
Yielya inspected Travis, "I was wondering, why had the Angels only now come for me? The only conclusion I could come to was that someone—most likely a Player—had told them about me wielding this Staff. So here I am, exploring the city and I feel a strange source of energy. To think it was none other than you!"
"So why are you here?"
"To find the one responsible. Now by guessing the two intermingling energies within you, I can assume you told the Angels about the Staff for some sort of trade. So what did you get out of it?"
"That doesn't matter."
"Oh but it does! After all I'm the one who is having a loss here!"
"Why would that information matter?"
"The Staff still remains in my hand, I haven't traded it off."
". . ."
"You see, I'm not someone who likes to be on the losing end of the deal. So I want to know what was offered to you for you handing over the information."
"I did not hand over any information."
"Sure, you can't fool me. It won't matter to me if you keep quiet anyway. I could just ask The Almighty One."
"Then do that."
Travis remained curt and attempted to walk past, it wasn't his business to deal with the Staff. Just as he passed Yielya she spoke, "A half now half later deal hm?"
"What?"
"Oh looks like I was spot on. The rewards you are getting for the information, you are going to get the other half later. . . I assume after the Seventh Heaven is repaired?"
"And what if I am?"
"Then that means the one who really needs this Staff isn't the Angels, but you."
"Backwards logic, it doesn't matter to me."
"You're lying. There's something you need once the Seventh Heaven is repaired. I can only assume something from the Seventh Heaven."
Travis' face wavered, but he had his mask on to keep that hidden. He hadn't told anyone about the final bit of his plan. The Seventh Heaven should have a specific item within it he hoped to grab during the chaos once it reformed. He didn't understand how Yielya managed to guess that!
Yielya smiled, but the feeling it gave off was not pleasant, "Right again! So the one that should be negotiating with me isn't the Angels, but you! So what will you offer for this Staff?"
"What are you talking about? I don't need it."
"It's too late to play it down. Here, I'll give you a chance."
Yielya pulled out the Staff from her bag and weighed it within her hands. Looking at Travis she offered, "I will toss this into the air a single time. If you can grab it before it falls into my hand it's yours!"
"What is the point-"
"Ready? Go!"
She tossed it high into the sky. Travis watched it as it slowed and began to fall. He had no time to think about the situation, no time to deduce her plan. Gritting his teeth he shot into the sky and reached for the Staff.
Tring~
His hand grasped a small marble instead. As he landed he looked towards Yielya, who spun the Staff within her hand. Storing it back into her bag she began to walk off, "You confirmed everything I needed you to! Once you think of a good price come to me and we'll negotiate!"
Travis crushed the marble within his hand. He was played! The entire conversation was being lead by the nose by her! The overwhelming advantage he had here was just placed within her hands!
He was to be the one offering for the Staff? What a load of garbage! This whole plan of his was torn apart in a mere moment! What was the point of him doing all this work?
Taking a breath he calmed himself. This was no time to get emotional. Since this was a situation he couldn't solve by force, he would have to think carefully. His thoughts was one of his strong suits after all! Everything he worked towards was done through his careful research and planning. He would not be beaten like this!
