The line moved much faster than Xu Feng had expected. Either that or the flood of new information had put him in a strange mental space, distracting him from what was happening around him.
The tears that had started flowing so unexpectedly had stopped just as quickly.
Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones still lingering in his system. After all, he had been pregnant. He had given birth. Seeing these two children—twins, no less—brought back memories he didn't have of his own.
Though Mingjun and Mingyue weren't quite dragons like him, they were the closest thing this world had to dragons. The sight of them stirred something deep inside him and the tears had flowed in response.
He wasn't a crybaby. Promise.
The tears wouldn't get him back to his children any faster. And these two boys weren't his sons. Xu Feng dried his eyes, allowing Yujie to continue talking about her children. There seemed to be less and less walls between these strangers.
