"Say, Erik, who is your tailor? You think I can contact him?....."
Mari lightly joked to give Mayumi few seconds to calm down her nerves, even though she loved to tease Mayumi, at the end of the day, Mayumi was her best friend, she wouldn't do anything to harm Mayumi, especially since she was representing the Saegusa Clan.
"Well, you can have his contact if you want to? I haven't bought my cell phone with me so I will give you his number later..."
Of course, Erik understood what Mari was doing so he went along with her flow, allowing Mayumi to completely recover her composure.
'Both of you...'
Looking at her two friends, Mayumi immediately understood their intentions to spare her of the embarrassment, a warm feeling spread throughout her heart as she let out a beautiful smile.
"Erik can give you the number to his tailor in school tomorrow, Mari..."
She spoke with a sweet voice as she teased her best friend with a smile, not letting go of this opportunity to get back at her.
'You little.....'
Mari was of course triggered by this low blow and glared at Mayumi in annoyance whereas Erik tried to calm both of them down, without any real intentions of actually stopping them from bickering.
To the other guests, the two beauties, Mari and Mayumi seemed to be discussing something with a smile on their faces whereas Erik would add his own opinion on the topic of discussion from time to time.
But Naotsugu knew it was all just an outer appearance, a farce! especially since he could actually hear the content of their conversation.
He continued to observe them with keen interest, an amused smile on his face.
"Gotta say Erik, the title of [High-Prince] truly do you justice, I am sure that soon your photos will start to circulate within the school-fan club..."
Mayumi switched targets, rather than teasing Mari, she instead went for Erik, wanting to get some kind of reaction from him rather than his ever-calm expression.
Unfortunately for her, Erik was far experienced...
"My fan-club certainly should have quite a number of people but I doubt that anyone would look at me when there is someone so beautiful standing beside me....."
"..."
With a slight smirk on his face, Erik smoothly retaliated with his own set of words which seemed to have done their job, considering that it made Mayumi speechless and left her unable to counter him.
"Okay okay, if you both are finished flirting with each other, I wanna introduce someone to Erik..."
Mari rolled her eyes, she was used to Mayumi getting bested by Erik whenever the former tried to tease the latter, he was just too good at teasing, his ever-calm expression also didn't help at all.
She moved a few steps back and stood beside Naotsugu, looking lovingly at the love of her life, she pointed towards him using his hands.
"He i—"
"Chiba Naotsugu.....the child prodigy of the Chiba clan, guess now I know why Mari-san felt more calm and gentle when compared to her persona during school hours..."
Erik indeed recognized the famed combat master of the Chiba clan, the title of "Illusion Blade" was quite famous within the martial circle.
"Hey!...."
Mari sent an annoyed look towards Erik who had an amused smile on his face, it seemed like he was enjoying himself.
"Nice to meet you Chiba-san....."
Erik chuckled as he greeted Naotsugu in a polite tone.
"The pleasure is all mine Erik-san since you are one of Mari's few friends, please feel free to call me by my first name. I am grateful to you for helping her out....."
Nao politely thanked Erik for looking out for his girlfriend, unlike his gentle and calm personality, Mari was much more direct in her approach.
Though it didn't mean that she was dumb, rather she was very intelligent but her approach sometimes made a bit hostile to her, so having someone like Erik to cover her back was definitely good karma.
"No need to be so formal Naotsugu-san, Mari is my friend, helping my friends is something I ought to do so you don't have to be grateful..."
Erik calmly replied to Nao's previous words while taking the golden pocket watch into his left hand while it hung from his waist.
"Nevertheless, Mari isn't really good at making friends, I only knew about Saegusa-san being her friend until she told me about Erik-san..."
Apparently, Nao was well aware of the fact that Mari had difficulty conversing with new people due to her straight forward demeanour.
The fact that his own clan, his own family didn't like Mari frustrated him to no ends.
"You sound like her parent rather than her boyfriend....hahaha!"
Erik cracked a joke to alleviate the sober mood that haunted both Mari and Naotsugu. He could understand that it was just hard and frustrating, dealing with the same people again and again.
"Don't be mean Erik!...."
Mari let out a fake-pout as she looked towards her friend who was trying to cheer her and her boyfriend up.
"Okay okay, no need to be so defensive Mari.....hahaha!"
"Humph!...."
All four of them had a smile on their faces as they continued to converse with each other.

The sound of spoons hitting the glass resounded throughout the place, Katsuto had finished with greeting all his guests and was about, to begin with, his speech.
He wore his signature suit and tie, looking extremely handsome and imitating due to his giant building.
"May I have your attention please....!?"
His clear and loud voice reverberated throughout the main hall as the guests quieted down and looked towards the main stage with curious eyes.
"I welcome you all to the 27th [Foundation Day Meet], this event had been celebrated since the very establishment of the Juumonji clan, and today we are happy to celebrate this day with other individuals....."
"I will not extend my words into a boring paragraph...."
After saying so, Katsuto raised his wine-filled glass up in the air and spoke with confidence.
"To a bright future....."
