章 257: Emotionally Unstable

Maxieno approached Suri and took the towel that she used to dry her hair. He held her shoulders, preventing her from moving or running away. 

"Ack—"

Maxieno touched her injured arm harder, causing her to wince. Then, he eventually let her go.

"What's wrong with you?" Maxieno asked confusedly. He couldn't read Suri's mind as she had built a protective wall around her thoughts. It seemed Arielle had successfully taught the girl not to let him get into her mind.

"No, nothing. Give me back the towel. I want to dry my hair."

Suri did her best to restrain herself from wincing in pain. She tried to snatch the towel back, but Maxieno lifted it high above her head.

"Let me do it," the man said, telling her to turn away while sitting quietly facing the mirror.

Suri let Maxieno play with her hair.
