章 464: playing house is not as easy as I thought

"Ah, I should have lit up the lantern first before we went," Natha slapped his forehead when we returned to a dark cabin. Dark everywhere, honestly, since we were in the middle of the woods.

Thankfully, there were fireflies and some glowing moss around the cabin and the river, so it was actually pretty nice--not a horror vibe, I mean.

"I'm sorry sweetheart--I want to make it perfect, but..."

I couldn't help but laugh at his worried face. It was kind of cute that he always wanted to look cool and everything, but I loved his occasional slip-up as much as his cool countenance.

"I don't want it to be perfect, though..." I grinned and kissed him before climbing up to the dark porch. "You're not in front of your subordinates anymore, so stop acting cool in front of your husband."

"Say that again," he pulled my waist and pinned me against the porch railing. "And stop acting shy in front of your husband."
