Before Albert had a chance to challenge the door knocker riddles, the Easter holiday came to an end.

After the holiday, news of Professor Bode's resignation spread throughout Hogwarts in the blink of an eye. Everyone felt regretful about it because Defense Against the Dark Arts was one of the few subjects that brought them joy. Professor Bode's wit and humor always taught them useful things.

"Who do you think they'll arrange to teach next semester?"

"Who knows?" Lee Jordan stared at the parchment with his almost finished Defense Against the Dark Arts essay, feeling gloomy. "Should we even bother doing the holiday homework for Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

Everyone knew that Professor Bode would resign in advance, but they hadn't expected it to happen so soon.

"Do you know why Professor Bode resigned?" Angelina looked at Albert with a puzzled expression and asked.

"Professor Bode mentioned this during the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class." Albert said without looking up. "It's just that it happened a little earlier than expected."

"Is that so?" Lee Jordan grumbled. He was trying to finish his essay, and he had long forgotten what was said in the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

"Oh yes, I remember that." Seamus nodded in agreement.

"There are rumors that Defense Against the Dark Arts is cursed." Albert checked his essay while speaking.

"I thought you would say that rumors are unreliable."

"If it weren't for the fact that Defense Against the Dark Arts professors change every year, I wouldn't believe in such rumors. But the professors of this subject have never lasted more than a year. The wizards who take on the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor always resign due to various troubles. Some are seriously injured, and some even lose their lives because of it."

"Professor Bode's early resignation was a wise choice." Albert continued, "At least he can ensure his own safety and not spend his old age in the hospital."

"Is it really that serious?" Angelina was a bit skeptical. She felt that Albert was deliberately exaggerating the so-called curse.

"I suggest you look up the information yourself. It's much more credible than me explaining it to you." Albert was organizing his parchment, as the library was about to close soon.

"Now that Professor Bode has resigned, what are we going to do for Defense Against the Dark Arts?" As the group left the library, Lee Jordan frowned and asked, "Study on our own?"

"If someone takes over, or we study on our own," Albert replied without hesitation, "If someone takes over, it's likely to be Snape."

"Oh no."

"Of course, Snape has his own classes, so it's likely that we'll have self-study," Albert continued.

"Can't you just say everything at once?" Lee Jordan said irritably. Many people didn't enjoy Snape's classes; they were too oppressive.

It was already past 10:30 p.m. when the Weasley twins returned to the dormitory, dragging their exhausted bodies.

Filch deliberately didn't give them all the detentions at once; instead, he gave them two detentions each week. The twins had been serving detentions for almost a month.

Better a short pain than a long one!

Fred clearly understood this point. Their methods made the Weasley twins grind their teeth, but they didn't have any good ways to deal with Filch.

"My hand feels like it's about to break!" Fred sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his sore wrist.

"What did Filch make you guys do this time?" Lee Jordan covered a yawn and stuffed a bean flavored with spinach into his mouth.

"Copying down various students' wrongdoings and the punishments for them," Fred said wearily.

"It's such a tedious and meaningless task," George looked extremely annoyed. "Filch is definitely doing this on purpose. Every time I see that smug look on his face, I wish I could smear him with dungbombs."

"You have nothing to complain about. It's your own fault for sneaking into the Forbidden Forest!" Lee Jordan shrugged his shoulders. "Not getting expelled is already lucky enough."

"Where's Albert? Did he go to the kitchen?" George peeled a piece of toffee for himself; he was feeling a bit hungry.

"No, he's in the shower."

As soon as the words fell, the door to the dormitory was pushed open, and Albert walked in wearing his pajamas.

"You're back. What new way did Filch come up with to torture you guys?" Albert was using a towel to dry the water off his hair.

"It's terrible. Filch made us copy records of past student mistakes. My hand is about to break." Fred grumbled.

"Um, is this the fifth time?"

"Oh no, don't mention it. We're still friends," Fred suddenly felt like he was about to lose it.

"The sixth time?" Lee Jordan guessed.

"It's the sixth time," George muttered.

"I want to get back at Filch!" Fred waved his fist and muttered, "Come up with a plan for us!"

"How about throwing a bunch of dungbombs into his office?" Lee Jordan suggested. "Make him too scared to go back in."

"We're out of dungbombs!" Fred said gloomily, and he didn't think it was a good idea anyway.

"I can sponsor you a pack of dungbombs for free." Albert suddenly said, apparently not afraid of causing trouble.

"I'll also sponsor you a few dungbombs." Lee Jordan, who was watering the garlic, agreed.

The twins hesitated.

However, on the first weekend after Easter, Fred and George made a decision.

The highly anticipated Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw took place on the first weekend after Easter.

But on Saturday morning, Fred and George were informed by Filch that they were given detention for the day, causing them to miss the opportunity to watch Gryffindor's last important match.

"Filch must have done this on purpose. It's definitely deliberate. He's seeking revenge on us, using this method." Fred angrily tore the note into pieces.

Filch's punishments were simply unbearable for the twins.

"This move is truly brilliant," Albert commented. "It seems that Filch really dislikes you two."

"Dislike?" Lee Jordan felt that Albert's choice of words was inappropriate. If it wasn't hatred, how could he deliberately give them detention during the Quidditch match and make them clean bedpans?

"Do you still count the sponsorship you mentioned last time?" Fred gritted his teeth, looking like he was ready to get back at Filch.

"Yes, of course!" Albert tilted his head and looked at Fred and George, reminding them, "But I suggest you do it on the evening before you leave the school."

"I know."

"After we finish watching, we'll tell you about the match." Lee Jordan comforted them. However, his tone sounded a bit smug.

"Maybe the match won't be over by the time your detention is finished!"

"You should say Gryffindor will defeat Ravenclaw and win the Quidditch Cup this year." Fred and George corrected him in unison.
