章 13: Introducing my mate.

Elpis POV

It was the last event; the final dinner where only alphas will attend. I was supposed to leave after the wedding but there was a change of plans. I sat down next to Eliot. He still seemed angry.

"You seemed displeased. It is your wedding. The least you can do is smile."

"Says the guy that gave my wife a very expensive emerald necklace."

"Come on Eliot, I had to get something nice. Don't tell me you are jealous."

Eliot looked away. I was right, he was jealous.

I stood up, grabbed my glass and a fork, and made some noise to grab everyone's attention.

"I want to thank our host for this wonderful event. Congratulations to the bride and groom." Everyone clapped.

"I would like to make another announcement." Everyone listened.

"I have found my mate." The entrance door opened and I saw Hemera with beta Drake. She was wearing the dress I sent. I stretched out my hand and she walked over elegantly and held it. I knew she was Luna material.

"I would like to introduce you to my mate, Hemera," I announced.

Crane hit the table and stood up. "Hemera, what is going on here?"

"What do you think? I am his mate." She spoke. I knew she was just using me to get back at Crane but it felt good. It felt like I belonged to her.

"What are you talking…"

"You can't take her," Eliot said cutting his brother. I looked at Lydia. I could see the surprise on her face.

"You were the one who told me that I could pick my mate from your pack. So, I did as you said."

"She is an exception," He said to me.

"I wasn't asking." I told him. My suspicions were right. Hemera is special. Why else would Eliot want to keep her? I am sure he doesn't love her or anything of that sort and his brother rejected her.

"And I would advise you not to get in my way. You know what happens to people who get in my way." I warned him. She looked at me angrily. I looked at Crane. He wanted Eliot to stop me or something but Eliot knew better. He didn't want to expose himself.

I looked at Hemera. Her head was down and she looked embarrassed. I didn't like it. She is a luna. she is meant to look all of them in the eye.

"Don't look down. Look at them with your head held high. Let them fear you." I told her. she looked at me and smiled. I saw her grey eyes pop and it made me so happy.

"Well, Eliot, Crane. Thank you for the hospitality. I will be leaving now with my mate." We both left the Crescent moon palace hand in hand. Crane tried to stop us but Eliot stopped him. we got into the carriage and started our journey back to Blood moon mansion
