"Matthew, are you okay? I could tell that something was bothering you; what was it?" I asked my ex as he walked back and forth inside our assigned cabin.

"Yeah, I just wanted to take you out of here; I couldn't believe I had forgotten to charge my phone." He responded as he tried to turn on his smartphone.

"Do you think Regina will do her end of our bargain? I promised never to come back to the island as long as she will keep my mother safe." I declared.

"Of course, I don't think she can hurt your mother; all she ever wanted is for you to leave the island," Matt responded, and I could tell he was anxious about something.

"Do you think something will happen to us as we sail?" I asked, and he laughed.

"No, not exactly; I think the opposite will happen." He replied.
