Amber slept peacefully until a yank on her arm caused her to come to her consciousness.
Her eyes remained closed as she felt maybe it was some robber who came to steal, if she remembered correctly, she did not lock the door.
Before her brain could think of the next possible action, her knees came in contact with the ground, making it bruise in the process.
"Ouch." Amber moaned in pain as her eyes flew open, she sat on the floor looking at her badly bruised knees, any more force could have caused a dislocation, or worse a fracture.
"What do you wa-" Her words cut off when she looked up and saw Dante staring at her, his eyes spiting fire.
"Oh you're back." She murmured, going back on her knees.
Her hands holding the hem of her dress as she tried as hard as she could to hold the pain in.
"At least you know what to do." Dante spat coldly while Amber just stayed silent, her head bent.
"How dare you sleep? Did I ask you to stand up from where you were before leaving?"
Amber wanted to argue but swallowed it, judging from his expression, saying anything will take her nowhere.
"Your food is served on the dining table." She said instead, trying her best to sound as meek as possible.
Dante just scoffed glancing down at her, then his father's pale figure laying on the hospital bed flashed his mind again.
"Come with me." Dante ordered and walked towards the dining.
Amber struggled to get up, gritting her teeth together trying her best to ignore the pain in her knees.
"Took you long enough." Dante snorted when she finally arrived.
Before Amber could settle down, she felt the warm liquid pour over her head, she stared wide-eyed at Dante, she had put some effort into cooking that.
"You could have just kept it for later, no need to waste it." Amber pointed out coldly.
Dante looked taken aback by her response, but then again sneered, "What?"
"I didn't quite hear you, say that again." Dante urged, but Amber looked away, biting her lips.
She was not so dumb to know that it was a trap.
Dante's nose flared up in anger and without hesitation, he pushed her leg backwards, causing Amber to fall on her knees once more.
"It seems you don't quite understand the situation at hand." Dante pinched her chin, forcing Amber to look at him.
His blue eyes constricted, seeing the hurt and tears in her grey one's.
In the end, he dropped his hands and tucked them into his pocket.
"Clean up the mess, there is a public bathhouse not too far away from here, you can sleep in the storeroom."
With that, Dante turned and walked away.
Why did he stop after seeing her expression?
Why would his heart be hurt because of those damn grey eyes of hers?
Could it be that he still had feelings for her?
No way he would still be in love with such a vermin, not after knowing and seeing her true colours, and definitely not with what his father is going through.
Remembering his father, Dante's footsteps paused, then he turned his head slightly, looking at Amber with the corner of his eyes.
"Make sure you clean yourself up properly, we are going to see my parents tomorrow."
Not waiting any further, Dante walked off to his study.
He knew every other person out there would probably run her over with a truck after all she's done, but personally, he likes the slow torture.
She hates to be by his side, it will be fun to watch her break being with someone she hates so much yet there is no way to escape it.

The moment Dante was out of sight, Amber sat on the floor looking at her knees that were bleeding badly, she bit her lip trying to hold her tears.
She knows she deserves all this hate, but it felt like a lot, this - this is just a bit too much.
Sighing, Amber used the dinning table as a support to stand up, going to the kitchen to get a rag, then proceeded to wipe the floor clean, taking the emptied dishware into the kitchen and washing it.
When she was done, Amber moved towards the bag she brought from the hospital and took out her card.
She needs to get some things like basic essentials, from the look of things, Dante won't let her out of his sight, good thing she saved up some money from working as his secretary.
Picking up some strands of her hair, Amber sniffed it feeling it will be weird walking around the convenience store with soup soaked hair.
Left with no other choice, Amber left the house like that, dragging her feet on the pavements until she was finally able to get to a convenience store, though it was four blocks away it felt like forever.
The first thing Amber bought were ointments for her legs and cheek.
She applied them before going around the store getting a towel, and some other necessities.
After she was done, she picked up a Ramen cup and poured in hot water, and sat outside the store.
She stared at her environment while waiting for her ramen to be ready.
Her eyes spotted a phone booth not to far from her, and she immediately stood up, falling her cup down in the process, the hot water scalding her hand, but she couldn't care less.
Rushing back into the store, Amber pressured the store attendant to give her some coins and the moment she got some she sped to the booth, at that moment all the pain was in the back of her head.
She finally found a chance to speak to her parents!
Putting in the coin and dialing the number, Amber tapped her foot while leaning on the booth waiting for someone to pick up.
"Hello, Talesmans' household." Hearing Clara's voice, the look of relief washed over Amber.
"Hey sis, can you kindly pass the phone to mom or dad?" The moment Amber was finished, she just heard a beep indicating the call had been disconnected.
"Could there be something wrong?" Amber muttered, there's no way Clara would cut the call on her like that, something was definitely wrong.
In the end, Amber used up the little coins she had trying to call, but no one picked up.
"Shit." Amber cursed, worry settling in her heart, could it be that Dante did something to them?
Her eyes immediately went cold, thinking Dante had done something to her family.
She certainly won't let it slide, if he had a beef with her, he should come directly at her, not her family.
Anyone that touches her family will most absolutely face her wrath.
Be it she loves them or not.
