章 30: Filler

Stephanie's POV

Back at the apartment, Stephanie tried to calm her racing thoughts. She was glad to be home, away from the tension that had filled Alexander's office. She sat on the couch, pulling her knees to her chest, and stared out the window. The encounter with Jason had shaken her more than she wanted to admit.

"Hey, you okay?" Kate asked, walking into the living room. Her face showed concern, a rare expression given her usual playful demeanor.

It was the first time Kate was living her room but sadly she had to see her this way.

Stephanie gave a small smile. "Yeah, just had a rough day."

Kate sat down beside her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Stephanie sighed. "Jason showed up today. He cornered me at a coffee shop. Lance was outside taking a call, so I was alone with him for a bit. It was... intense."

Kate's eyes widened. "That bastard. Did he hurt you?"
