章 75: HARLEY: Adoption

Three light knocks came at the door.  

I settled Hana down on the bed and stood up, walking over to the door. It couldn't be Sylus, he'd been gone the entirety of yesterday, and I haven't seen him since after what happened between the both of us. Was he avoiding me? Didn't he want to come home anymore?  

Cicily was the one at the door. 

"Good evening, Ms." She gave me a huge, warm smile. 

"Evening, Cicily," I responded to the gesture. "Is everything alright?" 

She nodded at me before stretching something out to me. I lowered my gaze to the packaged files she held and looked at her face. "What is this?" 

"I'm not sure," she responded. "I was taking out the emails, including any that may have come in for Mr. Jones, and I saw this. It's for you."
