Not long after, Cheng Zhou's phone rang, interrupting the peaceful atmosphere. He immediately picked up.
"Secretary Liu," he greeted. "Just send the documents from the teacher's building, would you? What do you mean by 'which building'? It's the one on the west end—never mind. I'll go to you instead. Just wait at the school gate."
Sensing that it was time for her to leave, Yao Ran stood up. "Mr. Cheng," she hesitated. "Why don't I head back first? You can go ahead."
"No, help yourself. Besides, it's much quieter here than in the classroom. Please, excuse me for a few minutes. I just have to get something first."
With a nod of his head, he grabbed his suit jacket and walked out of the room.
Yao Ran took the opportunity to sit down. As soon as she saw Cheng Zhou walking down the stairs, she couldn't help but glance at the paper that he had been holding. After making sure that he was already gone, she grabbed the test paper.
