章 12: A Real Beauty
By the time, Li jie returned to the room, Zhang xiaoxi was in deep sleep occupying all the bed. Her hands were spread apart. Her one leg was folded while the other leg was trapped with a pillow at the back of her knee.
Looking at the posture she was sleeping, Li jie didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. She looked like a baby who was sleeping.
Gazing at her Li Jie fell into a reverie. This was the first time, he was looking at her face. All the time when he was talking, he didn't observe anything much but only her eyes which would go wide when he suddenly started talking.
Now when he was looking at her, he could see her nose which seemed to be small and sharp. Her lips are so small and tiny. But altogether her face is so beautiful that he didn't know how long he was staring.
Her skin is so clear. Her cheeks and eyelids were light pinkish and her eye lashes were thick.
She didn't have any spots on her face except a mole on right side of her upper lip. The
Mole looked so good and so attractive that he didn't know when his hand was on her upper lip and touching the mole gently.
He has to admit that she is a real beauty, her skin felt so smooth like a baby skin. It would definitely leave a mark if you hold her tightly.
"What the hell!! Am I thinking about holding her? what the hell is wrong with me -" he thought.
Coming out if his thoughts, Li jie called her out to wake her up.
"Xiaoxi, wake up it's time for dinner, Xiaoxi?"- he called softly.
No matter how many times he called, the person on the beg slept like a log without waking up.
Touching her arms, Li jie tried to wake her up
"Mom!Let me sleep i am dead tired please "mumbled zhang Xiaoxi thinking that it was her mum waking her up.
Sighing at her mumbling, Li Jie closed the door and went downstairs to have dinner.
"Where is Xiaoxi, didn't you call her?" Asked Mother Li helping aunty Gu to put the dishes on the table.
"She is sleeping mom. I tried waking her up but she is too tired to wake up."
"But she has to eat something she cannot sleep on the empty stomach its not good" said mother Li worriedly
"Dont worry mom, I will bring some food upstairs after i am done." Explained Li Jie.
"Brother, What have you done to sister in law that she is so tired huhh? "Teased Li Jun with his eyebrows wiggling.
Glaring at Li Jun Mother Li snapped "You, stop teasing my son, you should worry about yourself now that you are brother got married. Tell me are you finding a girlfriend or do you want me to get you a wife as well"?
"Mom, it hasn't been even a day that my brother got married. And you already want me to find a wife? You seriously want me to get married so soon ?"
"What soon? Do you think you are still a teenager? For god sake you are just a year younger than your brother"- glared Mother Li at Li Jun
"Okay I will give you a years time, get me a daughter-in-law " added Mother Li
Knowing it is best to shut, Li Jun bowed his head and started eating.
After having his fill, Li Jie asked Aunt Gu to pack some dishes and carried them to his room.
Looking at the log sleeping on the bed, Li Jie put the food on the table and went back to his work not wanting to disturb her sleep.
After an hour, when Xiaoxi woke up, it was all dark in the room. Searching for her phone, Xiaoxi accidentally knocked down the food that Li Jie bought for her.
Li Jie who was returning to his room, opened the door when he heard the sound of dishes falling down.
Switching on the lights, Li jie saw Zhang Xiaoxi trying to look for the light switch with the help off her phone.
"Xiaoxi what happened? Are you okay?"
Listening to his voice, Zhang Xiaoxi looked at him, "Sorry, I knocked off the food while looking for my phone. I thought I was in my room. I Will clean it up right away" - she explained.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it. I can clean it up. Why don't you go freshen up. I will bring you some food as well." - he said
"What time is it?" - she asked suddenly remembering that she slept.
"Its past 10pm" - he said looking t his wrist watch.
"then dinner?"
"I tried to wake you up, but you were probably tired. you didn't wake up. so I brought you food into the room instead. - he replied.
"Oh no, I missed the first day dinner with everyone and slept. What will everyone think about me?"- she voiced out.
Understanding her , he assured, "Nobody will think anything. You can sleep as much as you want." - he said.
when she looked at him embarrassed, "Go now, and freshen up. you shouldn't sleep on an empty stomach. " - he said.
By the time, Xiaoxi came out of the bathroom, Li jie Cleaned up everything on the floor, and changed the sheets too."
XIaoxi smiled looking at clean sheets. Its not even been a single day, and she embarrassed herself in front of her new husband so many times now.
"what era you smiling about?" - asked Li jie who came into the room with a tray of food.
