The day afterward

I woke up the next day to find myself in bed alone. I sat up, looking around. Okay, this is a first with the guy getting left behind. I flung my legs over the side of the bed and pulled on a pair of boxers. Now what?

Then the door opened.

/"About time you woke up./" Paige smiled and was already dressed.

/"Where did you run off to? It’s not cool to sleep with someone and then abandon them. It makes one feel used./" I smirked.

She rolled her eyes. /"I had class, you dink./"

/"Good thing I don’t./" I smirked, earning another eye roll. /"But I do have to work./"

I picked up my clothes and dressed.

Paige walked over and wrapped her arms around my neck. /"So, will I see you tonight?/"

I wrapped my arms around her waist. /"If you play your cards right./" I leaned in and kissed her.

She kissed me back.
