章 132: Nightmares

Khalid's head pounded as though he was repeatedly being knocked down by a hammer. The pain he felt was excruciating, to say the least. His visions blurred momentarily forcing him to shut his eyes tightly.

That was all it took for his world to turn upside down. The next time he opened his eyes, the pain in his head was gradually decreasing and his vision became clearer by the minute.

What greeted him was something he would never forget for the rest of his life. Laid on the floor in the middle of a cave he recognized was his beloved. It wasn't the fact that she was lying that took his breath away.

It was the blood that was flowing out of her wounds. Her dress was soaked in blood. He wanted to run towards her to help her but he couldn't move. He was chained to the wall, helplessly watching her slowly bleeding to death.
