章 361: His Resolve

Malaika heard familiar knocks coming from her door. She was resting in her bedroom. Only one person could freely walk through her quarters.

She sat up startled not expecting to have him visiting her. "Come in!" She could feel her heart respond to his presence as the familiar handsome face come into view.

Malik walked inside and stood tall by her bed. The Queen was rendered speechless for a while. She had been assuming the worst after failing to see him for an entire month.

Seeing him before her now was quite a surprise. "I... Come and sit with your mother and son. What happened to you? Why are you standing so far away?"

Malik approached the bed and sat beside her. His head was lowered ij submission. It wasn't hard to do so since he had been doing it all his life.

Yet, it made him feel disgusted for the first time. When she placed her hand on his head caressing his hair, he bit hard on his lips willing himself not to flinch.
