章 19: Change The Plan
In the end, Lucia left the house without feeling any guilt towards her parents and Kyung Joon. She had made up her mind to stay at Bertha's house for a while.
Bertha Tamara, indeed a good friend to Luci. Bertha then got into her car followed by Lucia, who had finished loading her suitcases into the trunk. In the living room, Kyung Joon clenched his right fist while threatening Luci.
"Luci! Watch out for you, you will forever be mine, no one else's and you will only marry me! Remember that!" Kyung Joon shouted in front of Luci's parents.
"Mr. Kyung Joon, don't be angry please. I don't want you to act like this, let Luci follow her heart," said Vanya quietly.
Kyung Joon then turned to Vanya, he stared blankly. "Auntie, how could I just let Luci walk away from me?! You don't know that I love your daughter and want to make her my wife."
"Mister, have a seat first. Everything can be discussed properly, not like this," Ronald said, then he sat on the minimalist maroon sofa facing Kyung Joon.
"Vanya, you sit down too. Don't cry like that, why are you sad because Luci decided to leave the house?!" asked Ronald annoyed.
"But she--"
"She has been a nobody since today, unless tonight she comes back and apologizes to us, then says that she is willing to marry Mr. Kyung Joon, then I will not cross her name from the family list. Do you understand?!" rebuked Ronald.
"But, in the past Irene also left the house, just because she refused to be matched by us. So, are we now also going to let Luci leave the house and what happened a few years ago repeats itself?!" asked Vanya, suddenly getting emotional.
"Irene ... her nature is very similar to Lucia, only Steve and Arnold didn't refuse to be matched at that time," regretted Ronald.
"Uncle, Auntie, let me catch up with Bertha and Luci. I'm sorry for not being able to linger here and talk to you guys," said Kyung Joon hastily.
"Where are you going to find Lucia? Do you know where exactly she is going? Could it be that she didn't stay at the hotel, but at Bertha's?" asked Ronald curiously.
"That's right, Uncle. I also think so, they are friends and for sure Lucia will not go to a hotel or even to Greece. She is just looking for an excuse to avoid me," added Kyung Joon, confidently.
"Then quickly follow her there. If she wants to come back, of course Uncle will not cross her name from the family list, but if she refuses to come with you to this house then she is no longer part of this family," said Ronald.
"Wait, Mister. Before you go looking for Lucia, is it true that you are already married as Lucia said before?" asked Vanya, confirming what Lucia had said to Kyung Joon a moment ago.
"That ... about that I will answer after I met Lucia at Bertha's house. Sorry, I will go first," replied Kyung Joon, saying goodbye to his two prospective in-laws.
Would Kyung Joon find Lucia at Bertha's house or not? Lucia and Bertha were not as stupid as Kyung Joon thought, when they were at a crossroads, Lucia changed her plan to stay at Bertha's house that afternoon.
Bertha was forced to agree to Lucia's decision, then took her to a five-star hotel in West Jakarta, which of course was quite far from Lucia's house.
