Shawn slightly lowered his head and swallowed the discontentment, he was well aware that Claire would try her best to prevent Sean from taking the CEO seat. Not to mention that the current CFO wasn't someone he could easily get along with. 

But for the future of the Morrison Family, Shawn wouldn't just stay still about it.

He straightened his posture and his deep voice echoed with pride. "The chairman is right. We shouldn't delay any longer because CEO is central to the company. Leaving the spot vacant for a long time will result badly for the stability."

Claire sharply turned her face towards her husband, her pair of blue eyes coldly glared at him. 

Shawn just blinked cluelessly, pretending to be oblivious that his statement actually offended his wife.

Meanwhile, Robert leaned back on his chair, taking advantage of the tension to chime in.
