However, when he opened his eyes next, the sight in front of him was nothing like he expected.

"Ryley? Ryley! Honey, are you okay? Why are you crying?"

Rena's worried face was the first to come to the blond's vision, followed by his father who also had the same concerned look beneath his scrunched brows. 

"M-Mom...? D-Dad...?" Ryley swallowed the dread that came with his shocked flinch and gasp the moment he found himself sitting in the passenger car by himself. "Wh-where are we...? W-Why are we—"

"You must be tired from the long trip..." Michael muttered as he placed his palm on Ryley's forehead, sighing. "But it's okay, we are home now."

"H-Home...?" Ryley repeated still with terror filling his bloodshot eyes. "W-We are home...? B-But you... you and—"
