Sloane nodded happily. Mila and Josiah shared a smile. Mila yawned.

Josiah rubbed his hand up and down Mila’s arm. “I think it is time for you to go to bed.”

Mila leaned into Josiah and giggled. “But the wine is so good and so is the cake.”

His chuckle filled the room. “Okay, my little drunken duck, that’s it for you. No more wine. We still have work tomorrow.”

Mila pouted and looked up at Josiah with puppy eyes. Josiah sucked in a breath. Rowan saw the look and knew if she looked at him like that, he’d be a goner.

A frown formed on Rowan’s face. “Knock it off, Mila. You’ve had too much to drink. You should go to bed. I’ll take you to your room.”

Mila looked at him sideways. “Josiah lives across the hall from me. I wouldn’t dare waste the Alpha’s time by having him escort me to my room.”

Her attention went to Josiah. “C’mon, sexy Beta, take me to bed. I want to wear your orange sweatshirt. It helps me sleep better.”
