Zina had always feared the day that she would meet the man called Daemon NorthSteed. She had imagined the thousand ways their eventual encounter would happen, but this was nothing like how she imagined it would go.

She was beginning to realise that she knew absolutely nothing of the man that she had dreaded meeting for years. She thought of him as cold and unfeeling…as a man that would definitely swallow her whole, and yet what she got was a man that dreadfully confused her.

He was nothing exactly as she imagined him, and it drove her insane. He was cold alright, but not exactly too cold. Cruel alright, but not exactly too cruel. He was harsh alright, and yet, his harshness was carefully shrouded in the careless way he laid bare his half thoughts...the careless way his eyes roamed over her figure like she burned his world.
