Anabella, an angel with pristine white wings, stood atop a hill, gazing down at the earthly realm with troubled eyes. Once a great angel, she was now banished to the mortal world for an unforgivable mistake.
"How can I ever return to the heavens?" Anabella whispered, placing her hand on her heart.
"Everything feels so distant."
Below lay an old park where she intended to find some refuge. Her footsteps echoed in the silence, and her shoes felt heavier than ever. She had once soared among the clouds, but now she was confined to walking on the ground.
As the sun began to set, Anabella found a bench by the lake. Sitting down, she looked towards the horizon, where the sun was slowly sinking beneath the skyline.
A gentle voice broke the silence
"Are you waiting for someone?"
Anabella looked up to see a young man standing nearby. He had a cold demeanor, but his eyes held a deep empathy.
"I'm not waiting for anyone,"
she replied.
"Just… searching for a place to think."
