Drystan did not smile. In fact, he was lucky to not have popped a goddamn vein at Adrastus' words.

The Duke looked pleased with himself upon seeing that he had made Drystan speechless.

Taking a deep breath, Drystan tried to convince himself. Murder was a crime and murderers don't get to walk on the streets freely.

He shouldn't resort to murder.

Barely calming himself down, the artist once again picked up his paintbrush and started painting again.

He shouldn't and mustn't give Adrastus the satisfaction of knowing that he had riled Drystan up.

The silence that settled between them was fragile.

Sooner than later, Drystan lost himself in painting the portrait of Yaxley family. So much so that he all but forgot that he had a rather arrogant company with him.

He has just finished painting the base for Eleni's body on the canvas and needed to change the colour, so he turned to the side to pick up the palette.
