章 4: Story 1 Part 4
A woman with pearl-colored hair that flowed back past her narrow shoulders. Her appearance is of a girl that looked no older than Tessia, possessing dark eyes and a thin frame. What highlighted her the most were her obsidian horns that glowed like precious stones.
"She's even stronger than this man," I thought
I got ready to run away while also trying to bring Uto with me but she disappeared and appeared behind me.
"You've sure caused quite the trouble for a teen," She said
I reassessed my situation as Dawns Ballad was still inside my ring and she's fast so I kept on thinking of possible ways as I talked.
"You could've prevented the death of you ally had you come earlier but from the timing you came I'd say you were simply watching," I said
"That you are right I was expecting for him to win at first but when you released your mana it was clear that you'll win combine with your decisive move and careful nature no wonder you came out almost unhurt," She said
After she finished I let out a fire and water and created steam. I ran towards Uto and grabbed him then run away. Activating mirage walk so she couldn't sense me.
"My my where are you going so early" She whispered in my ear
I jerked back prepared to throw Uto at her but she grabbed my collar and pinned me to the ground her hand holding both my hands and she was on top of me her other hand on my neck.
"I just wish to talk is it that terrifying," She said
"Last I checked we were still at war or did I not receive news of peace, or was the one I killed a rouge," I said
"No we're still at war but you can stop it," She said
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Take Uto's horn and absorb it. It would help you greatly to increase your strength but you'll owe me one" She said
"Why are you helping me?" I asked
She just smiled and let me go, getting off me I was about to just run but she stopped me again with some sort of barrier that nullifies my magic.
"Don't run away again I told you I just came to talk" She said
My options were limited back then and now I had no more options as she is preventing me from using my spells.
"My beast will," I thought
I activated it and it worked she turned towards me but it was too late I already stopped time. I quickly grabbed Uto's horns from her and left without a trace when I was far enough I deactivated it and my body was in pain.
"Damn that hurts" I cursed
"You sure run away quick," Her familiar voice said
I turned back to see her carrying Uto. She threw him at me
"Feel free to keep him," She said and left
Is he marked or something? I'll just interrogate him and kill him. He was surprisingly more tenacious than the other mages when they lost their mana cores causing me to actually dedicate time for him. Maybe because of his experimental body? I tortured him until even his masochist side couldn't handle the pain anymore as I kept on skinning his skin from top to bottom and proceeded in boiling him in hot water then switching to cold and repeat. I then took a bottle and healed him so his skin came back and redo the whole process until he broke.
His psychotic side switched to that of a cry baby rather quickly as he kept begging me to stop and just kill him if he answered all my questions. I nodded but I might as well let him feel the same pain Lance Alea did since she did suffer. I kept on asking him questions until I saw that he couldn't answer further.
"Say should I leave you in the same condition you left the elf lance a few years ago" I whispered to his ear
His eyes widened and screamed but I froze his mouth and slowly separated his limbs and took out his eyes then pierced his abdomen with an earth spike. I left him and went to find someplace for me to absorb the horns since I did feel mana on it.
"What was that woman thinking when she wanted to give me this," I thought deeply
I looked at the horn and found that the mana was a lot and so I found a cave. I sealed the entrance and started to absorb the horns.
When I started to meditate on them it was pure black as I was standing in a void I looked around to find nothing.
"Was this a trap?" I asked myself
But the scene changed as memories of Uto were replayed in the void and I managed to grasp a deeper knowledge of Alacrya's infrastructure. But Uto was too low level in the ranks, I focused on the mana the horns had. The first one nearly made a difference and while the second one gave a huge difference.
Was the first one broken? I asked myself as I inspected it closely
I found nothing wrong and the mana was all gone so I didn't pay too much and started to go out of the cave.
"I wonder how long was I gone," I thought as I flew to the castle using mirage walk
I saw the wall was badly destroyed but the Dicathian forces were still there while the Elshair forest had traces of fire. Darv's landscape looked like a bloody battlefield while The floating fortress still stood strong. I entered without being noticed and entered Virion's office where he wasn't there so I waited.
"They're still my allies so might as well give them some information about Alacryan magic," I thought as I took a scroll and started writing.
I wrote some reports regarding their magic and those runes as well as some useful stuff I got out from Uto and his horns. As I was writing the door opened and Virion entered his hands covering his face as he walked towards his sofa and slumped down. I just stayed quiet and continued on writing the scrolls.
After finishing I rolled the scrolls and tied them up and organized them at his table so he could read them. I announced my presence by moving the chair back which made a sound and left casually as he just stared at me. After leaving I heard his footsteps but I just mirage walked out of there and continued with my daily routine.
I followed a few Alacryan groups in hopes of finding some Regalia or at least Emblem users but there haven't been any so I just went on and cleaned them up nicely and tidy. I walked around my temporary cave and meditated for a few hours while also sensing mana around me to increase my detection more.
I felt every living being that walked inside my area as I felt the flies flying, the ants crawling, the water flowing, and the wind blowing. I felt it all as I focused my mind and mana fully on detection, if I were to do this while doing anything else it wasn't possible so I took a break and hunted for some food.
I hunted for a while and managed to catch a few rabbits and wanted to walk back but it seems like it wasn't possible as Lance Varay approached me and took out an ice sword. I sighed and placed the rabbit in my ring while I withdrew Dawn's Ballad.
"Say I'm quite hungry so why don't you do your lance work and pretend you didn't see me here," I said
But she couldn't say yes as she charged towards me her sword aiming at my shoulder. I slashed Dawn's Ballad vertically up to hit her ice sword and shattered it. She jumped back and shot Ice spikes as she was jumping back, I used the wind to form a barrier that shredded the Ice as I charged towards her who was still in the air.
"General Arthur if you return now you may not need to face the punishment the council has decided for you," She said coldly
"And what would that be General Varay," I said in a provoking tone
"Well if you no longer work directly under us so we can't support protection for your family anymore," She said provoking back
I was supposed to feel angry, mad, guilty, sad but I felt nothing as my heart and expression remained the same, my mind fully thinking on how to defeat her not once had it lingered towards thinking about my family. Yes, this is how it was supposed to be, this is the real me, the true me. I smirked and just kept attacking her at rapid and precise strikes as I dodged all her attacks, my quick decisive thoughts flew through my mind like water flowing on the stream.
I heard a rustle behind me, I quickly turned back and fired Ice spikes towards some bushes and revealed Lance Aya who nearly got shot in the head had she not dodged it.
"Girls I think it's time we finish this it was a nice warm-up though," I said as I activated my beast will and went away while time was frozen. I went back to my cave and cooked my rabbit, I ate and meditated again while I kept half my focus for detection. A few hours passed as I slowly increase the limit of how much mana I could store.

I kept on experimenting on my body mana channels and mana core as I slowly uncover most of the magic world's secrets using knowledge from my past life. I could strengthen my mana channels so they could support a faster and denser flow of mana without ruining my body. That's when it popped out a message left by Sylvia when I've met her requirements that is reaching above the white core. She told me many things and I listened not being able to feel anything again was great as if I was Arthur I would have dropped in tears after hearing her voice once.
She explained Aether, her beast will, Alacrya, Agrona, Ancient mages, Sylvie, Her people, and Herself. It was honestly a lot to process but it was settled that I needed to try and go to those ancient ruins to get stronger to find strength. I decided to use my empty time and try and experiment on Sylvia's will as I could finally understand the motes of purple.
"So this is Aether," I thought as I saw the purple particles gathering around my body
Even if I can't use this form for more than I'd say thirty minutes? As I was using my time to learn Aether I saw my right hand glowed.
"Has the weapon finally manifested?" I thought
A black will-o-wisp at the size of a marble hovering in front of me revealing eyes that were pure white and two small horns jutting out of the side of its head.
"It seems like I've only awakened it and I still need to make it stronger," I thought
"Bah you could always feed me to make me stronger," It said
My eyes widened for a moment.
"Greetings my name is Regis it is an honor to be born from your ass," He said
"Well it seems like we'll be working together then partner" I said
"For now I can't help you with much I need to gather Aether first so I'll be going into your core for a while ok" He said
"Fine" I said and he went into my stomach where my mana core was located

I proceeded to learn about aether as I grasp little understanding here and there. I kept on training my beast will and second phase days passed and I only increased my use time by one minute, a little disappointed I went out to hunt again for food. I walked through the forest using mirage walk and saw a band of Alacryan mages. I followed them to see A familiar Scythe I met, knowing I won't be able to touch them I decided to go back.
But that was also soon interrupted when She appeared in front of me, I turned back to see her no longer where she was.
"Arthur I know I'm pretty and all but don't you think you're a little too desperate to find me so soon," She said in a teasing tone
I sighed and just walked past her but she pulled my wrist positioning me in front of her face
"How was Uto's horn?" She asked
"It was good" I replied
"I see you've already grown stronger now go before anyone sees you," She said
Her behavior confused me even more as she was the one who pulled me back when I wanted to leave.
"Women in both worlds are just the same confusing and hard to understand, I just hope I don't need love," I thought
