章 75: The Hatred

"Ungrateful brat" an elderly yet bitter voice followed all the way to June's ears.

June turned towards them and smiled at them with pain and agony hiding deep in her heart. "Elder where did I go wrong?" a nonchalant expression covered the feelings hidden deep inside her heart.

It was clear that she was sad at the moment. She was already having a hard time getting control over herself from neither bursting out into anger nor Bursting out into tears. Her hidden feelings were too strong for her to control. Initially, she was able to control her anger and anguish but now it doesn't seem to be in her hand.

The woman with the nonchalant expression gradually let herself fall into the deep slumber called her emotions. Little by little her guise changed to a tedious look.

Her tedious face looked onto the face of the elder who was cursing her. Her undead eyes carved for an answer.

Despite the intention flowing in her eyes, her gaze showed an opposite reaction to the elders of the Frey family. The elder who confronted June was terrorized because of her words. In fact, he learned why she was so confident that she wasn't wrong.

The intention June had was not to hurt or punish the elders but to have them accountable. However, the depressing thoughts and feelings displayed on her face made anyone around her fall to their knees in terror.

The bodies of the guardian elders of the Frey family trembled in the fear of going down to hell. Every one of the Frey family knew the strength of June so being afraid was not very unusual.

Meanwhile, June was recalling her thoughts about the incident she had years ago.

One bad evening, she was filled with agony and despair about losing her brother. She also missed Harry secretly. Because of her missing Harry, she firmly believed that Harry was blaming everything on himself and was in the worst state.

She went to the elders to report the death of her brother. She planned to make an excuse of collecting Loaren's remains but she wanted to meet Harry. She finagled to hear about the things directly from Harry for what happened to Loaren.

When she came to the elders' hall she heard people cursing and shouting at someone for their mistakes about something the person did. Upon eavesdropping on their talks she was dismayed by everything she heard. She ran back in the direction of her house. Her pleasant eyes were drenched in tears. The words she heard in the elders' hall repeated again and again in her head while she was running towards her house.

She wished not to hear those words again, but the words she heard were exactly the same. Nothing changed and nothing was skipped, but everything was clear in her head.

The despair she faced made June decide to go and look for Harry because she missed him very badly. She doesn't want to drench in the deep slumber of loneliness anymore. So she decided to look for the only friend she have. In fact, she doesn't want to lose him like she lost her brother.

She clenched her fists and chewed her lips. As she was angry with her views.

She was weak but she was wrong. In fact, she was stronger than they are.

At last, she was ready to hear it again, now she felt calm to remember more.

"He was dead but are you sure"

"Yes, my master. I am sure"

"Don't let her learn it now"

"I won't let her discover more"

"I will trust for one more time"

"Thank you, I will make it sure"

"Hunters, did they make a fuss?"

"No worries, master I made it sure"

When she realized what she heard, she ran away from there out of despair.

June realized that the exchange she heard was about the death of her brother and the elders of the Frey family already know it despite the lack of resources they had. This made June understand that the death of her brother surely was related to the elders of the Frey family.

In the last few words, she remembered something that worried her most. It was about the hunters who ventured with Loaren. She realized that Harry was in danger so she decided to help him.

She was very eager to look for Harry but the fact is, she was locked into the sect. She blasted her way out injuring anyone who tried to stop her. She fought with all her might to find her way to meet her friend.

June ran away from there and started her pursuit of Harry. When she found him she was disappointed because he rejected her. She thought for a second if he was the one or she was mistaken. The person in front of her was a complete stranger in her eyes.

In fact, Harry was very depressed to the point where the cold-hearted man was crying secretly. He didn't even say the truth about Loaren's death to anyone including his comrades. The pain he carried in his heart, the promise he carried in his thought, and the responsibility he carried on his job were standing alluringly in front of him who fell into the deep slumber of sadness and despair.

The matter that made Harry ignore who he loved was very serious. Even if he befriended June, his heart always pounded at a high speed as her heart did. Deep down in his heart, Harry loved June but fate was not kind to them.

On the day when Loaren was killed, they were fighting with a subclan of 'traceless hyenas'. The hyenas were strong but the tactical understanding and the mutual cooperation between Harry and Loaren were very good that the hyenas were not even able to scratch them. Alas, the perfect cooperation or the tactical plan couldn't avoid the inevitable.

When all the hyenas were killed by the swordman and the archer duo there came a slash in the wind out of the blue. There was no trace of life around but Loaren Frey recognized what was with that mysterious attack. "Sword elder," he said in his deep pitiful tone only to let Harry become aware of the truth.

The swordsman became pure evil and released the demon inside him. He killed the sword elder who was much stronger than Harry by treating him with his own medicine. Harry's speed was not to underestimate. His swift moments confused the elder. When the elder ought to block Harry's attack which he thought was from his right. A cold sensation raised from his neck but the side was his left.

The old man was amused but he was dead no matter what. Harry took many deep breaths and ran to Loaren who was holding his last breath. Harry was aware that he will be dead so he tore a piece of fabric. Harry let him write what he want but Loaren was dead in a matter of time. He held the piece of cloth in his hand that had a few words with Loaren's blood.

Nine people with black robes covering their faces with masks and hoods approached him and confronted him with their skills. They squeezed him by their attacks and determined to kill him with no halt. Once again the demon started its killing spree to kill anyone who fought him. Harry was not a demon or something but he deserved to be called a demon. His speed was unseen and death was inevitable so the men took other measures.

Out of the nine people who came for the hunt, one was killed and eight were injured. Not even a scratch was laid on Harry. His speed was not something to see with the naked eyes.

When the sword was about to slay a person, he heard a familiar name. "June," the woman said in a trembling tone which made Harry halt his strike.

Unexpectedly, something hit on his stomach and made him fly away for a few meters. His air gliding ended up when his back was bashed on a huge rock. With no strength to stand, he struggled to get up but was surrounded by the people in black.

Those people sheathed their swords or put back their staffs "if someone knew about this June will be no more" they smirked at him as if they were in the gain. Instantly, Harry realized that the people were from the Frey family.

They knew they can't kill Harry so they let him take the blame. He kept it himself and let the pain take him down. All he can do is wait for revenge. he was worried about June who he loved with all his heart. So he let go of the idea of killing them whole.

When June came to him and asked Harry to take her hand, he was reluctant to let her go but his deep thoughts made him worried and made him feel that he was lost. So after many incidents, they married but he was not aware that she knew about her brother's death.
