(3rd Person POV)

(Location: Glory City)

"Honey, you're almost there. Just a little more, and our child will be in our arms," a middle-aged man reassured with a gentle smile. His most prominent features were his vibrant blonde hair that was slicked back neatly, along with his deep amber eyes which seemed to shimmer with a mix of excitement and concern as he held his wife's hand, supporting her through the waves of pain.

The woman giving birth, her face flushed and glistening with sweat summoned every ounce of strength within her. With a determined yet exhausted expression, her brown eyes locked onto her husband's gaze, finding solace in his unwavering presence. Her brown hair clung to her forehead, dampened by the lengthy process of childbirth.

In the room, a dedicated group of medical staff surrounded them, their expertise and care guiding the delicate process. Their experienced hands offered support and encouragement, ensuring the safety and well-being of mother and child.

The air was filled with a mixture of emotions and anticipation, as the couple braced themselves for the miraculous arrival of their little one. The sound of whispered words of encouragement and the soft rustling of medical equipment were all that could be heard in the room.

Suddenly, the woman's grip tightened around her husband's hand as she shouted in a mix of determination and exhaustion. Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead as she mustered the strength to push once more, as her face contorted in pain.

A moment later a cry reverberated around the room as the couple, along with all the medical staff, smiled in joy. Together the two cradled their newborn, as they looked at their child fondly as the medical staff quickly moved out of the room so they could give space to their lord's family.

The couple remained silent for a few moments, taking in the form of the newest addition to their household. The wife then turned to her husband, her eyes shimmering with exhaustion and elation.

"Zhenlong," she began softly, sounding exhausted, "Looks like you were right, our baby is a boy; since you won the bet, you can name him."

Before their child was born, they had decided to forego using soul force to find out the gender of their baby, and instead decided to place a bet; the winner of the bet would be able to choose the name for their child.

Although some elders of the clan may have been disappointed if the baby was a girl, they knew they couldn't complain as the parents were the current heads of the family.

Zhenlong nodded, as his mind raced through the possible names he had planned out for this day. His desire was to bestow upon their child a name that would resonate with kindness and tranquility– a name that would bring honor to the Divine Family and its history.

After falling deep into contemplation for a few moments, he smiled as the name of his child surfaced in his mind. "How about Chen Jing? Jing means serenity," he proposed, his voice carrying a hint of pride. "It symbolizes the peaceful strength that our son will possess, a beacon of love and calm that will bring glory to our family amidst the chaos of the world."

Ning's eyes sparkled with delight, embracing the name as if it were a precious gift. "Chen Jing," she repeated as a beautiful smile blossomed on her face. "May this name be a reminder for our son to cultivate inner tranquility and radiate love in every step he takes."

As Zhenlong and Ning gazed down at their son, Chen Jing, a sweet, melodious sound filled the room—a soft, joyful laughter that caught them off guard. The couple exchanged amazed glances, their hearts brimming with awe and curiosity.

Chen Jing's tiny face lit up with a radiant smile, his eyes sparkling with mirth. His laughter echoed in the room, and as it did, his parents laughed alongside him. Tears of joy welled up in their eyes as a sense of unity fell over the family.

[E/N: Bro awaiting Gear 5 a bit too much lmao.]

The sound of Chen Jing's laughter created a brief sanctuary of happiness within the room, a fleeting glimpse of the wonder and delight that awaited them as parents. It was a reminder of the immense love and joy that their child would bring to their lives.

But as quickly as the laughter emerged, it transformed into soft cries.

"Ugh, is this normal?" Zhenlong said sounding worried as Jing's cries continued on without stopping. This was their first ever having a baby so he had no clue what to do in this situation. He probed his child using his soul force making sure nothing was wrong.

"Zhen, calm down before you freak out our little baby even more," Ning laughed at her husband's concern as she tried calming down their newborn.

"Why don't you go deal with our guests, I'm sure they're waiting for us. " Ning said sounding exhausted. "I'll see them tomorrow; for now I need to join Jing in his sleep."

Zhenlong nodded, understanding his wife's exhaustion. He planted a gentle kiss on her forehead and whispered words of love and reassurance. With one last lingering gaze at his wife and newborn son, he made his way out of the room to attend to their eagerly awaiting guests.

The guests were few, five in total but they were all the leaders and experts of the Noble Families within Glory City. As such they demanded absolute respect from everyone, but today they were simple friends celebrating their friend finally having a child.

"Zhenlong, congratulations." A rather large, tall man with purple hair and eyes congratulated as he clasped his hand onto Zhenlong's shoulder. Everyone distanced themselves from the duo out of a mix of fear and respect as this was the Current City Lord, and the second strongest expert in the City, Ye Zong.

"Thank you, I was worried something would go wrong, but fortunately everything turned out well," Zhenlong responded with a smile filled with joy as he hugged his friends.

"Sorry, but looks like you guys won't be able to see Jing today, Ning was exhausted after giving birth," Zhenlong said sounding apologetic as he sensed his wife and child going to sleep. Throughout this entire time, he had his senses on them, making sure everything was fine.

Even though his wife was a Stage 2, Black Gold Demon Spiritualist and the entire estate was on guard, not to mention all of the strongest experts in Glory City were currently inside his house, he still couldn't help but worry as his mind revolved around his wife and son.

"So you decided to name your son Jing? A fitting name indeed," Ye Zong spoke as everyone else began conversing and congratulating Zhenlong.

(Scene Change)

(Jing's POV)

'Well shit, the bastard wasn't lying,' I thought to myself as I tried moving my new body's hands, but was ultimately met with failure.

Before I died, I was your average sixteen-year-old living his best life. I frequently hung out with the friends I made and I had even started my own little business on the side to try and make some extra cash. However, all that was short-lived as my life came to an abrupt end at the hands of a being who called himself ROB.

Apparently, he was trying to punish someone for slandering his name, however, due to the similarity in our names he ended up killing me instead of them. How such a powerful being could make such a trivial mistake I would never know, but I suppose that's life, or death I guess.

I still don't think I've processed that I'm dead - was dead? - and am unable to see my parents or friends ever again, but I pushed those thoughts to the back of my head, as I had bigger things to deal with, namely being a baby once again.

But anyway, due to his mistake, I was given the option to spin a wheel that had multiple realities and eventually, it landed on TODAG to my horror. I hadn't read too many manhua's in my lifetime, but TODAG was one that I had read, and once the wheel stopped on it I could feel myself die once again.

The worst part about being thrust into this world was surprisingly not the fact that there was going to be a world-ending event, no, rather it was the fact that the author hadn't posted a new chapter in over 2 years. Meaning after a certain point even future knowledge would be completely useless, cause there was no future.

That thought brings me to another dilemma, would the world just cease to exist after reaching that point? Or would it just be completely new events that neither I nor any other reader would know of? Either option was practically hell.

Moving back on track, I was luckily given the option to make one wish, as long as it didn't break the limits of the TODAG universe– no The Almighty sadly.

I must have sat there for at least a day trying - and failing - to come up with something that would be beneficial, and because of my indecisiveness, ROB told me I had five seconds left to choose or I wouldn't have any wish at all. With the pressure of time, I hastily wished for all of Nie Lie's knowledge and battle experience.

I wanted all of his memories regarding cultivation techniques, and everything else in regard to cultivation like alchemy, nothing else, like his entire life; I didn't want any of that, no thank you.

As for battle experience, I wished for it since I had never fought anyone in my life, and considering Nie Lie's experience, I figured I wouldn't have to struggle to learn how to fight.

I could access all the information with but a thought, which was contrary to my expectations since I had just assumed that my brain would be flooded with those memories at birth. Instead, it was like they were filed away in my brain, and once I actively thought of each separate thing the information would rush to me.

I tried looking for any cultivation technique that would let me cultivate as a baby. But nope, there was none sadly.

There was still a lot about this world that I didn't know, like who my new family is, and what timeline I was born in– hopefully, it was before Nie Li's rebirth; I didn't want to die before I was even able to walk after all. As I began to slowly drift off to sleep, a thought struck me, I could have asked for all the Sage Emperor's knowledge… fuck.
